So glad to see you talk about this in depth. It sure does work! Maybe not if it’s the only thing one does, and it does take time. But for me it’s like when babies listen to their parents talking while they fall asleep or wake up. You absorb different things about language this way. I’ve been listening to your show almost every night for several months. I speak along and mumble and whisper as I drift off to sleep, repeating things and trying to answer. The next day when I do my studies it’s like I’m supercharged. Somehow I feel like I’m a child learning natively, in the way that I’m understanding the flow of speech and thinking much faster how to say something. Plus your voice is so soothing and your speech is so relaxed and happy, that it relaxes my mind and helps me absorb more.

Also the Spanish took over the Philippines for 400 year so their culture and language which is the Tagalog language we know and speak today so como estas is how are you and in Tagalog is Kamusta ka also asking how are you which is almost the same but there’s not Tagalog word for hello we just say hello po Kamusta ka or with respect hello po Kamusta po kayo
