2002 Honda S2000 dyno. Back to back runs with the silencers in and out made no difference in power. Mods are: Berk high flow cat Skunk2 megapower exhaust K&N cold air intake (no tune)

What turbo(or kit) is that? Love the quick spooling.
If you're doing boost-by-gear, then based on the rate of acceleration in 3rd/4th gears, there's no way that car is making anywhere close to 600 HP unless your speedo is way off.
608whp in 3rd and another 20whp in 4th or whatever an extra 2psi gives it
@@creedtucker3681 it took you 4.5 seconds to go 60-100 mph in 3rd and 4th gears and about 7.5 seconds to go from 30-100. You're about 200 WHP off. Also, unless you have drag radials, the rear tires would be shredding even at 60 mph if you're really making 600+ WHP.
@@rugbyguitargod 60-130 is 7.4 seconds with two shifts and 3000 DA. I have a dog box that can do it in one shift now. That and 0 DA I predict I can save 1 second.
@@creedtucker3681 first of all, a 3000' DA is good for maybe 3/10ths and a dogbox maybe another 2/10ths, so not sure where you're getting a whole second from. Secondly, you're moving the goalpost and speculating. In this video, in this run, you are definitely NOT making 600 WHP in any gear. With the Weight/HP ratio you claim to have, you should be in the mid to low 6's 60-130 even with a 3000 DA and stock gearbox. My brother's 4200 lbs 565 WHP 392 Scat Pack Challenger (100 shot w/DRs) went 60-130 in 7.8 with a manual transmission and slipping clutch, and my other brother's 3800 lbs 850 WHP TT G37 (full interior and slicks, built auto) runs 5.41 60-130 (go to Garage Fanatic YT channel and watch the outro of his Channel introduction). Both times and cars are verified in Dragy as well. You do the math and you'll understand why it doesn't add up (pun intended).
@@rugbyguitargod your brothers v8 is probably making far closer to that peak number throughout the curve. This 2.0L peaked at 360 lb ft at the wheels, at 8000 rpm. It’s all relative 🤷🏽 I’m confident in a sub 6.5 second run

@@fabrb26 I’m sure it could be better, but I’m not often doing road trips anyway. There’s a dog box in the car now with a horribly short 6th gear. I think it’s lost about 5mpg with the same tune haha
@@creedtucker3681 i did about the same, maybe 28 on a good day, with a NA D' civic but 115mph @rev limiter in 5th so clearly you got way more horse per gallon and more fun per $ 😅 Enjoy their becoming rare animals here even stock.

I KNOW im not the only person thinking this. UM AFRS are way lean. WHY? an 12.2 or 12.6 um scary for my subie. but yah why so lean in fuel. Even if you have meth inj. ? just asking question just learning.
Im not honda guy at all but during my street racing days i would use my procharged z06 which was reliable as a tank how it was set up but my best friends s2000…was the fn tank it would eat 634rwhp stock block all day never seen a single saturday night w a problem from him
The S2000 in particular does well because it’s RWD and has a stronger motor than other Hondas. 6-700hp is the sweet spot for longevity. Throw on a fat tire, big fuel pump/injector and hit the street

How do different gears mean different horse power? The engine isn’t changing
Duty cycle of the boost controller is being modulated by a standalone ECU based on which gear is selected
