      The Comfort Control range is an aluminium ceramic core electric radiator. You can find more information at the following link: www.bestelectricradiators.co.uk/p/comfort-control-electric-radiator-ceramic/. This range represents approx. 3% of our total sales however the Slimline Curve included in the video above is by far our best seller and represents approximately 90-95% of sales. Most customers are looking for a super-slim, fast heating radiator which is ultra energy efficient. We have sold over 50,000 units of the Slimline Curve in the past 6 years and it is the slimmest electric radiator in the uk. It is a Dry-Thermal radiator and has gained the highest TrustPilot rating: www.bestelectricradiators.co.uk/p/slimline-curve-electric-radiator/. This product is designed and owned by Best Electric Radiators. We are aware of several counterfeits of the Slimline Curve on the UK market which are being manufactured outside Europe. The products are almost identical to the Slimline Curve in design and appearance however the internal components, longevity and efficiency are completely different.

      Energy efficient electric radiators are called "Lot20" include multiple energy saving technologies such as open window technology, predictive start technology based on the insulation properties of a room and the average heat up time, technology which prevents overshooting or undershooting of target temperatures, etc. They also have individual digital room thermostats which are monitoring and regulating the precise temperature in each room within 0.1 degree, whereas traditional forms of heating have 1 or 2 thermostats in the entire home which are not accurately measuring individual room temperatures. You can read more here: www.bestelectricradiators.co.uk/blog/lot-20-ecodesign-compliance/ Electric radiators work in a very different way to gas or oil central heating systems. Gas and oil CHS are wasteful as heating a volume of water and pumping it around pipework to heat 1 or 2 rooms is very inefficient with heat loss under floorboards and walls, boiler exhausts, etc.

    • @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk

      Traditional heating solutions such as gas central heating operate in a very different way to electric radiators therefore they are significantly less wasteful. ● A GCH system heats up a large volume of water and circulates the water around pipework to each radiator whereas electric radiators delivery the heat directly from the source. ● Electric radiators are 100% efficient and thermostatically controlled within each room whereas a GCH system has a central thermostat often in the hallway or landing. This all means that individual rooms such as a living room can be heated exclusively therefore eliminating wastage. The rooms in a typical 2 or 3 bed property can be heated precisely when you require the heat as each radiator is fully programmable. Alternatively you can simply turn the radiator on or off manually giving you complete control. They also include the following energy saving technologies which contribute to reduce heating bills: ● Open window technology which will detect when a window or door is left open and will reduce the power output to reduce wastage ● Predictive heat up technology which will commence the heating process earlier so that the room temperature is achieved precisely when required. ● Intelligent temperature control which will prevent the radiator from over-shooting the target temperature. The radiator will reduce the output before it reaches the set target temperature. ● Manufactured with aluminium which is the best material for fast conductivity of heat into a room ● Wifi controlled option which will allow the user to control each individual room temperature away from the property. For example, if you only want heating in 1 or 2 rooms prior to arriving back home. GCH radiators can be turned down or off using thermostatic valves however this reduces the efficiency of the heating system. There is also a lag heat up and cool down time whereas a dry thermal electric radiator will delivery heat instantly and heat a room within 5-10 mins. GCH systems require regular maintenance which can cost several hundred pounds per year. There is no maintenance required with an electric radiator. Electricity is here for the foreseeable future and with the government committing to its Net Zero Strategy, it’s important that we all do our part to be less wasteful and reduce our impact on the environment.

    What exactly is "energy efficient" about this product? Energy isn't "wasted" regardless of which type of radiator you use. It's simply converted from one energy to another. Energy is only lost through poor insulation. An electric panel heater only makes sense if you don't have a gas or oil boiler, or if you have solar/wind turbine power. Otherwise, being "energy efficient" room by room can be established easily by balancing the output of each radiator. You don't need aluminium or ceramic rads to achieve this. The easiest way to save money on your heating bill is to not heat bedrooms when not in use. This can be done manually with standard thermostatic valves (just like switching off lights when not in use), or upgrade to digital thermostatic valves, which are a fraction of the cost of a new electric radiator. This infomercial is very misleading.

    • @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk
      @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk Před 9 měsíci

This is not the case with electric heating as 100% of the heat energy converted from electricity is delivered directly into each room. There is zero maintenance with electric radiators and a professional is not required for installation.

    • @ottofumbler7267
      @ottofumbler7267 Před 9 měsíci

      @@BestelectricradiatorsCoUk Exactly. More than once you've eluded to examples of poor insulation. Thanks for clarifying and agreeing with me. The features on these electric radiators are what you get with digital smart thermostatic valves, so there's still no benefit to changing to electric heating for the that reason alone. Also, DIY installation as suggested would not be advised. Try ripping out a central heating system and replacing it stock with electric radiators without checking load values at the consumer unit and the cabling throughout the home on a standard ring circuit or worse, an old fuse box. Top tip: have the local fire bridge on standby. While these may be "maintenance free", a standard rad & gas/oil system come with lengthy guarantee periods, sometimes up to 12 years. I doubt these electric rads will. Like a modern flat screen telly, once it's broken, that's the end. Conversely, spare parts and registered engineers for gas/oil heating systems are everywhere. This company has no liability for giving bad advice, so arm yourself with knowledge first.

    • @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk
      @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk Před 9 měsíci

      @@ottofumbler7267 As mentioned above, adding thermostatic valves to an existing gas or oil CHS reduces the efficiency of the entire system. We have sold over 80,000 electric radiators over the past 10 years and not come across a situation where a customer has overloaded their electric supply, however we recommend double checking with a qualified electrician. You have mentioned the local fire brigade. We have not experienced any safety issues with our products so no cause for concern. Electricity will always be available and there's a real movement towards cleaner heating solutions that don't involve burning fossil fuels.

    • @ottofumbler7267
      @ottofumbler7267 Před 9 měsíci

      There you go folks. "Consult a qualified electrician"... who will need to visit your property to complete a full test of your electrics, tell you you need a separate ring circuit (due to the high load) to swap over from gas/oil central heating to a fully electric system, and then quote you ££££s for a rewire. So, when you've scrapped your gas/oil system (at a cost plus skip & recycling charges), bought all new electric rads, and had your electrics tested and a new ring (per floor) plus a possible consumer unit upgrade all paid for, plus a main fuse upgrade from your electricity provider, how long before you see the "savings" on your heating bill make economic sense? Don't forget the carbon footprint of scrapping your existing system and the manufacturing of new electric rads. Or for a fraction of the cost, upgrade your thermostatic valves and insulation, and boost your green credentials in a jiffy. "There will always be electricity", suggesting that gas is running out. Someone better tell the national grid that, as they're currently generating 35% of the UK's energy from gas fired stations, which is higher than any other single source. Now you have the facts, and not just a sales pitch. You decide.

    • @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk
      @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk Před 9 měsíci

      @@ottofumbler7267 Checking with an electrician is only a recommendation. It is not necessary in most cases and as mentioned previously, we have not come across a situation in the past 10 years whereby a customer has overloaded their circuit. We've seen a huge transition over the past 3+ years from homeowners moving away from traditional fuels to heat their home, run their cars, etc. and electricity is here to stay for the long term. It's super clean with no boiler, pipework etc. so for many homeowners its a sensible and viable consideration.

      We will be creating another video on precisely this subject. As a ball park (and a way to calculate the running costs) our electric radiators will draw electricity 25% of the time to maintain a set target room temperature. This means that running cost calculations should be based on 25% of the cost per kWh. For example, our 2000w electric radiator running on a tariff of 30pence per kWh will cost 2x30/4 = 15 pence per hour. The initial warm up phase will always cost the most however the Slimline Curve featured in the video will heat a room within 10-15 minutes! It is also important to note that even though electricity converts to heat energy 100% (based on the laws of physics), this does not mean that the running costs from one electric heater/radiator to another will be the same. The running costs are determined by the heat management technology (i.e. how the heater delivers the set temperature). Our electric radiators include multiple advanced energy saving technology to help minimise wastage and help reduce running costs. These make MUCH more sense to me than heat pumps which are so expensive and unsatisfactory for most people. Surely the solution is to put generation strain on the grid not on householders? Don’t disagree that electric heating is more environmentally friendly and more efficient - however surely the price needs to come down for the public to be tempted to make the change?! I’m in a fully electric property - with the heat and hot water coming from a direct hot water tank (on Economy 7). I get the idea and thinking behind it, but on particularly cold days it just can’t cope. Hot shower and a blast of heat in the morning and that’s about your lot, after spending money on heating it six hours overnight. Crap system. Worst thing is that it’s expensive too. These radiators I’m sure are much better - but really expensive to run!

      Thank you for your comment. Electric water filled central heating systems are notoriously expensive to run in comparison to traditional gas and oil CHS because 1) the cost of electricity is higher than gas and oil and 2) they experience the same heat wastage and lack of control which gas and oil CHS experience. We recommend using independent advanced LOT20 electric radiators for each room and a separate electric water heater to provide hot water to taps, shower, bath, etc. This will allow you to have heat precisely when you where you want it and avoid wastage. Can you explain me how you beat physics? Any electrical radiator is 100% efficient. What power goes in as electricity - same is converted to heat. Period. How this Ceramic is better when we talk about saving watts? If you gonna tell me about voice control or heat-retentive ceramic plates and heat lock "technology" - then please don’t, because whatever power it takes to heat them up - it will be released later. What is the difference between max in now and release slow later vs mid consumption all day long? Answer is none. For example 2.4kw for one hour and then 5 hours no power taken = 400w radiator constant heating for 6 hours.

    • @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk
      @BestelectricradiatorsCoUk Před rokem

      The laws of physics dictate that all electric heating devices are 100% energy efficient. The actual running costs of one heater/radiator to another is impacted by several contributing factors such as the accuracy of the thermostat, the type of thermostat (digital or analogue), in-built technology that prevents overshooting of the target temperature, predictive heating technology that can calculate and anticipate how long it takes to heat a room to a predetermined temperature, etc. All these factors help minimise energy wastage to help maximise energy efficiency. Our electric radiators include all these energy saving components and technologies. Over the years we have received fantastic feedback from our customers claiming in excess of 50% savings on running costs from their old heating system to our electric radiators. In fact this morning we had feedback from a customers that our radiators were 56% more efficient than their previous heating solution (electric storage heaters). The savings of course can vary significantly from one home to another however to date (following 80,000 sales) we have not received a single complaint or concern regarding the running costs of our electric radiators. Cheap and cheerful electric heaters are notoriously expensive to run in comparison to advanced LOT20 electric radiators. Interestingly our biggest market are homeowners who are moving away from storage heaters and more interestingly this is where we see the biggest savings in terms of running costs! The concept of storage heaters using a cheaper night tariff (Economy 7), storing heat during the night and delivering the heat during the daytime sounds great, however sadly this is where the advantages stop. Storage heaters are notoriously wasteful because they are big and bulky with large heating capacity and therefore use large volumes of electricity (even though the electricity is cheaper during the night). They then deliver the heat through the day (often when the homeowner is not in the property) and run out of heat when it is most needed on the evening. With an advanced electric radiator, the heat management technology will help eliminate heat and electricity wastage because they will only draw electricity when heat is required. So, even though the electricity tariff will be higher the running costs are approximately 40-50%. Apart from lowing the running costs there are also lots more advantages of an electric radiator over a storage heater which you can read by clicking this link: www.bestelectricradiators.co.uk/replacing-storage-heaters/

      We sell 3 types of electric radiators which pretty much covers the whole of the electric radiator market (Oil, Ceramic and Dry Thermal). Interestingly Oil filled electric radiators are our least popular range because they are big, chunky, heavy and take a while to heat a room. Although it is rare, they also run the risk of leaking over time. The key point to make here is that all our electric radiator ranges whether they are oil, ceramic or dry are all equally energy efficient which means they all cost the same to run. As a result most customers prefer a super slim, lightweight Dry Thermal electric radiator in particular our Slimline Curve range because they are the slimmest electric radiator in the UK (www.bestelectricradiators.co.uk/p/slimline-curve-electric-radiator/). This range always receives the highest TrustPilot rating and is manufactured from 100% high grade aluminum. It is available with Wifi or non-Wifi. As for infrared heating, we have chosen not to sell this type of property because we do not believe it is the future of home heating.
