Mew are number one! Tempered Furious Rajang Event quest. All this time I never knew ISS had directional input... pathetic I know. I naturally would move the analog stick in a direction sometimes not realizing it was actually affecting it. I always thought it was mostly positioning. This changes a lot. This was my first run after realizing this. Pretty close.

i quit the game because of this dude, a year later i tried this fight again and died within the first minute. Yeah fuck this game not worth the time
R u malaysian bro?
Insanely good. Well played!
Holy shit. This is my first day learning longsword and my friend, you are so good
I live the fact that I can actively hear you sucking your teeth at your small mistakes. Very awesome run big dawg
Bro what is your layered armor its sick
What’s your layer?! Including weapon
He always does the side hop, which is the monster version of Evade Extender 3, and I completely miss landing a Helmbreaker!
I can relate!
that was insane...
Idk why but when I see those videos played solo without palicos, it looks so much easier for counters with longsword
Counters in general usually require being targeted/hit in order to operate so yes being solo gives you significantly more opportunities to counter because you are always being targeted.
@@Yoesol yes I know, so I guessing I want to practice I gotta go palicoless
This is how fast my quest failed
really nice, congratulation, of course its not 100% perfect but the monster is really hard !
Neat and Clean 🧴🧼
what layered armor do you use? i love it
Belly joe got clapped ggs on that one :D
very nice
Nice run, congrats!
What an amazing run! Congrats!
🙏
Nice run Yeosol! Its been awhile
Nah fr I had to take a nice long break. Had too much going on. Was disappointed with sunbreak too at the time so I moved on to other games for a bit.
I feel like I have to get rid of my DB bad habit of spamming button inputs; do you have tips on how to practice foresight slash? I've been just trying to spam the Y combo since theyre short and going into foresight but I still can't get the timing down
Just be patient. You have much more time than you think so there’s no need to spam in between. The first two hits of your spirit combo have armor so you can’t be tripped and can be heavily delayed to give you more time to foresight. The key to countering is knowing the monsters move sets and patterns. If you don’t even have an idea of what’s coming at you next then countering will be difficult.
Great stuff - that whiff at the beginning hurt lol. Bring in the Silver and Golden Raths - one of the craziest fights 😂
Yeah that whiff was brutal lmao. Maybe silver rath. I did gold rath with bow. Not really interested in going back to that with Ls maybe tho. I was thinking of running Zinogre back. The raths are super rng.
@@Yoesol they are but thats why I love them - Zyn telegraphs like crazy - how about Brute Tigrex? That is always insane. Blows you right out of the sky during a helmsbreaker - its wild
@@TheReayning Almost all of the monsters heavily telegraph tho, Id argue Brute Tiggy is one the worst offenders of that. I have a video up of him too. That is one of the most consistent runs after you learn it. It just comes down to how good your start is and if you get lucky. Rng isnt crazy tho. Much worse with Zinogre. Ive had S tier runs be ruined simply because it refuses to charge up or just spams headbutt into side body slam outside of charged state. You need it to be charged to deal good damage. And thats just one example. I already have 2 videos of Zinogre but they were very early on into this little journey of mine so im sure regardless of rng i can definitely improve those runs significantly. Where as Brute Tigrex it would be a lot more rng that i cant really make up for/Improvise. It would just be a slightly slower run and i would do another after. Long story short after learning brugrex every single run is sub 3, kind of like garuga. With little nuances plus how good you start, determining whether or not it is significantly faster than sub 3.
Yeah after a few runs I remember now. Farewell Zinogre might the biggest rng nightmare out there. I remember why I stopped doing it now. It will literally refuse to charge up the entire fight. If it doesn’t charge runs dead. Which is 90% of time. Then most of the time it’s way too oversized to even make an attempt so I have to reset until it spawns in smaller lol. Reconsidering even wasting my time with this
lol@@Yoesol
Awesome Helmbreaker finisher 🤩!!! Amazing run, Yoesol !! Great job 💪💯👌
Wassup goat. Thank you!
GG!!! Is this a new WR?
Nah. Thanks though!
Thank you for helping me with Furious and Raging even though I died a lot lol
Np man. We’ve all been there.
been binge watching your iceborne hunts, makes me want to learn LS haha; is there a good matchup to learn LS in or should I just try it out in GL? My biggest concern is that iai spirit slash is much harder to hit than sunbreak =P
Yoooo thanks for watching them. Rathian imo is the best training dummy in the game. ISS is second nature with practice. Some attacks can be hard to time even with practice. Not only harder but much more satisfying than in sunbreak as well imo.
This monster is so annoying as his large size gives seemingly all needed area for a fully proper Helmbreaker and then the monster moves just a fraction and he's now on the other side of the screen! I'm gonna farm him now.
like it
Nice
I like your moves
You playing in xbox bro? Lets play with me to get our world record mr arena challenge bro What's your gamertag? I want add you to friendlist I have subscribe you btw
Yes I’m on Xbox my gamer tag is my name. Sounds fun but I don’t play monster hunter very much anymore. Might return to do some of the monsters I’ve never done but other than that idk. ( That’s a big “might”)
What is "TA Wiki Rules"?
Bro .. what layered sword is that ?

@@Yoesol Divine Slasher was in the first game. 1200 raw. Had no idea it was in world lol

kushala, he's either the most annoying elder dragon or the most boring.
why didnt you get blow up when you step on the red mucus? i get blow up when im step on red mucus - regular brachydios
Blast resistance
If you dont mind, i have a couple questions about the clutch claw use I see you and others do: 1. Whats the benefit at the beginning to cluch claw and flinch show 3 times with no knockdown or weakening a part? 2. Multiple times during the fight you clutch claw and immediately dismount. Is this just to get closer to the monster more quickly?
Sure I can answer your questions. So in the beginning I claw the monster 3 times and I do weaken the part. The 3 hits is to immediately enrage the monster to activate agitator asap. I do not do a knockdown because it is against the rules (TA Wiki) of the category the speedrun is in. In TA rules, you cannot use mantles, palicos, traps, bombs, slinger ammo, flinch shots( the slinger knockdown) , endemic life. Etc ( pretty much the only thing that is allowed is fighting the monster with your weapon, healing and buffing) The reason I clutch claw a monster during a “clagger” (stagger that gives you an opportunity to clutch claw) is because it causes the monster to stay in the animation longer to give you time to tenderize. But if you dismount immediately after instead you still get that increased time while also having an opening to do whatever.
@@Yoesol Thank you for this, very helpful!
Hermoso! 🎉 sos grande bro
He yoe just watched your video on Monster Hunter and I have to say, it was really well done! I could tell you put a lot of time and effort into it. I especially appreciated the way you broke down the different strategies, it made it really easy to understand. As a fellow Monster Hunter fan, I can relate to your enthusiasm and passion for the game. I really enjoy watching your content and I think others would too. Keep up the great work, I'll be sure to check out more of your videos!
I’m in for a world of pain fighting this thing :(
It’s not bad. Can be intimidating on first encounter. Just bring blast resistance 3 and you’ll be fine. Tenderizing the legs makes it very easy to trip it. Good luck! 👍 And thx for watching.
bro can you give me ur build ?
My build is always shown at the end of the fight.
super impressive run! this is definitely my favorite LS fight! Been trying to master the GS recently and it's been brutal lol but it spits out insane times with frostcraft.
Thx Snarl, it’s definitely a noticeable transition from Ls to Gs with the loss of mobility but it’s nice not having any maintenance/requirements to do damage.
GG man Nice run 😍 :D

0:23 completely forgot to shoot the dung pod before clawing lol I think I was on the phone 😂
what armor is that? also I love the runs bro
I appreciate that snake. I’ll take a screenshot of layered the next time I’m on, I made that set a while ago and don’t remember the pieces. I know it has Ebony Odogaron chest and waist B.
@@Yoesol no problem it's always nice to come binge watch the vids time to time
I know I'm late, sorry for that. Great content btw ! May I ask what is the dung pod used for ? I saw that on many vids and I'm still wondering. Could someone explain ?
Thx Robin. The dung pod is used to distract the monster in the beginning so that I can tenderize before aggro.
@@Yoesol Oh thanks ! I was always wondering why I had no time to do it while players could on video. Thank you for this, that will help for sure !
armor??
Poor poor anja
nc run as always.
What’s good Chris! Thx bro.
Pro Turkey Slicer teaches Turkey Slicing :) @2.07 You were saved by the iai stagger lol nice - Hes the best LS target to improve your skills
What’s up Reayning. That move is harmless lol not much to save from, and id have to strongly disagree with the last part. But thx for tuning in bro 🫡 He does look like a big *ss turkey
@@Yoesol ok who was your go to when training LS? lol
@@TheReayning I never really trained longsword at all but there were monsters that forced me to improve and sharpen up when attempting runs against them. I personally got into speedrunning with Day of Ruin Teostra . I think it did a great job of laying a foundation of what is required to kill fast/efficiently with longsword. The script is easy enough to learn, forces you to familiarize yourself with various ISS timings and positionings . Forces you to be accurate and only hit tenderized zone more than most monsters. And teaches you patience. Velkhana is also another good one. But for just an easy training dummy that can also give practice I think Rathian is the best in the game for most weapons. That could be bias tho. I disagree with Anjanath because practicing it will only really help you against it and not the rest of the cast. Maybe other brute wyverns and that’s just because of how tiny their heads are when trying to hit helm breakers. Imo something thats fast , hits decently hard and is predictable would be best for longsword practice. Anjanath doesn’t really have any of that . In fact this monster has been one of the most random in terms of attacks out of my runs. Not to mention it has a lot of bad attacks that kind of don’t do anything and you can’t really punish well. Like the side sweeping flame you referred to that I don’t think I’ve ever been hit by even when I first started the game lol
@@Yoesol Velkhana vs LS is definitely an interesting fight - high skill for sure. Rathian is a solid training agreed. But for beginners, under 60 hrs say, Anjanath gives a solid performance with telegraphed moves, small delays to accustom yourself to the weapon reaction time, some strong moves and just a good size for training (I am looking at a more amateur level of players that work on a weapon to become somewhat decent at least). Teos a great one for advanced and Zyn/Styg Zyn & Ruiner Nerg are also excellent for reaction times and delays not to mention they can hit hard. But of course, at late endgame, they become so fun to fool around with lol. All in all though, you can see your tight reaction times and your small delays after an attack when considering the monsters (and your) next move. Solid and fun to watch 👌
