    Hi, just wondering if you can instruct how to resume a job from a line in the gcode without out it starting from the beginning. For example if the power went out or computer decided to update system and shut down in the middle of a job? Thanks.

    Keep in mind when you do this, that if you exchange your tools, you need to ensure that the are protruding the same distance from the chuck! otherwise you either come short on the z axis or you crash it!

    Using a normal end Mill or a gear tooth formed end mill? Someone was saying and end Mill can't cut gear it has to be tooth formed shape hence my research on this.

    • @Richard-yo5kl
      @Richard-yo5kl Před 3 lety

      Typically gear teeth are formed radially using a form cutter. I suppose you could say I am cheating here laying the gear flat and milling the profile of the teeth. As you can see it can be done using an endmill but it does have its limitations doing it this way.

    Hello! I really like your channel! I also have a 3018 pro machine. I would like to ask that with this 20000 RPM spindle, can I work faster? Is it decrease the working time? Will cut the wood like the butter? This recommended spindle is in a very good price, and I like it. I could replace easily because in the same size like the original. But why so many people upgrade their machine not with this, instead use that black one 300-500 w maybe you know that. What is the different?

      @cncphilosophy5820 Před 3 lety

      This spindle is useful for smaller diameter cutters when a higher rpm is needed to get a good finish at a reasonable feed rate. I don't believe it has more power than the stock spindle but it is plenty for the 3018 which is not a very rigid machine. I am not sure why people buy the more powerful motor, I suspect they are improving the machine all over and increasing its rigidity as well to handle the increased power.

      Maybe increase the feed rate so you can increase your feed rate:)
