    If Magnum was in the military, aren't military men supposed to be taught martial arts?

    Is that all of the shots of the Ferrari in the TV series? I was sure there were so many more? Must have made a great impression as a kid as it was the first Ferrari I had ever seen.

    I just saw the 308 GTB rally Gruppo 4 "Olio Fiat" livery, tested by Davide Cironi: basically the car was conceived as a racing car before to be a street car, extremely agile and reactive but stick on the road. Very similar in many ways both to the Gruppo 4 Lancia Stratos and the Gruppo B Lancia 037 although the engines were totally different.

    God how I loved that show!!!! I used to wait the whole week to see the episode on TV, just waiting for every single glimpse of that Ferrari! The car chases were my favorite. It started my passion for Ferrari, and my love for Hawaiian shirts! It is still today my favorite TV show ever. I cannot wait to get my hands on a 308 or a 328 Ferrari. One day soon i hope!

      All the American made "tanks" of that era were gutless. Though the 308 was Ferrari's entry level sports car, it held its own above the competition for the cars of those era. Ferrari's next supercar was the 512BB Boxer where the flat 12 cylinder made tremendous horsepower and torque, which came to the USA as a grey market car. However, if you want to get right down to it, the 60's muscle cars still were the fastest cars you could buy. All the cars of the late 1970's and early 80's were so bogged down with Federal emission smog crap, it wasn't uncommon to buy a new Ford that made 95hp or a Camaro that peaked at 100hp if that.

    I love the 308 - 928 chase scene. These two cars meant so much to me as a kid that I bought them both. I love the shapes and their design differences as well as the two different approaches of the competitive companies. Porsche VS Ferrari

      Funny thing is the 928 was producers first choice but Porsche refused to modify it for Selleck to fit inside...

    To see the contrast in styling between this car and those old land yacht American coupes from the '70s is jaw dropping. Some people clearly TRIED to apply themselves at car design; others just shrugged their shoulders and treated it like a job.

    The 308 is the most iconic Ferrari ever made. Not the best or the fastest or the most expensive, but most iconic.

    • @lucascompinto
      @lucascompinto Před 2 lety

      absolutely not, it doesn't come even close to the Testarossa or the F40.

    • @marcelhandsome6042
      @marcelhandsome6042 Před 2 lety

      I agree but would add the Ferrari Testarossa (miami vice) (out run arcade game) very iconic!

    • @JeanSuki
      @JeanSuki Před 2 lety

      How about the 250 GTO, 250 California, F40, F50, Enzo, Testarossa, F355, 360? The 308 is nice, and cheap to keep running, but its far from the most iconic

    • @johnforeman634
      @johnforeman634 Před 2 lety

      @@JeanSuki obviously there are many famous Ferrari models. I’m just saying that if I had to pick the most iconic model, the one that is most representative example of the brand, it’s the simple little 308. If you asked people who know nothing of cars “what kind of car is that?” EVERYONE would say that’s a Ferrari. It has the most quintessential shape and styling that denotes Ferrari. The Magnum show really pushed the brand to the forefront in North America and the world with that car. It was made in significant numbers. I’ve owned several Ferrari’s, and now have a 08 F430 spider. I’ve actually had people ask me “is that a Lamborghini”? No one misidentifies a 308/328, especially if it’s red.

    This looks like stuff from the early seasons, they used a few 308s in the series. They had a GTSi and a QV later. I remember some good burnouts and chases with the QV especially. There was a green 308 in a couple of episodes too.
