"Meanings"... it's multi layered. Yes.
N.O. Simply didn't mind the art work. It wasn't really what they would have picked until the single, Regret's cover art.
Mexico is North America
I dont know about heroically..
"I'm not leaving my miniatures unpainted. I'm pioneering a new style I call plasticism. It's a form of art where you emphasize how the gray of the plastic is the true nature of the miniature"
At 8:07 the "Memphis" photo is actually Nashville. I am lovin it!
The patron slander is insane. Well donw on the painting tho🤩
It has a very honest message. "We couldn't spend the time, effort or money in making a nice looking building."
His collection was like a self portrait so original and eclectic.
Didn't Mona Lisa get its fame by being stolen?
Edo isn’t said “ay-doe”, it’s said as “eh-doe”
Correction they were stealing yeah I said it
Womp womp
Do you personally go to mexico everytime you want tacos, or the tacqueira down the street? There you go.
saving your ancestors from whatever eastern hellscape they had created for themselves was a huge mistake
don't insult the ancients... they had much stronger philosophies than this.
Robespierre was a butcher to kill her
Great video I'm subbing.
Thank you!
Perspective ❤
Looks like a vase you'd see in hell. Like it's pretty, but it also looks like an amalgamation of living organisms.
So uniquely beautiful 🤩
Utterly beautiful!
Um, yes... unfortunate. Not going to like it. Keep posting. Everyone cares. Move on.
How sad breaking it up. Hopefully good quality catalogs are available for the serious pedestrians
Alright, everybody back to work! Tick tock
Brutalism was very honest... shouting to the public about just how little money there was in the post-war economy to be able to afford nice looking buildings.
Love 💞 fine art
I genuinely went from 'I hate this!' to 'I love this!'
Lovely 🌹
Thank you for watching!
Bro is just spitting bullshit these buildings look ugly and bleak
Amazing ❤❤❤❤ i adore the art of Renaissance time
My favourite painting !! I am studying for the MCAT and have had 2 separate passages on it (from different sources) but it's always a pleasure to read about it and the different takes and analyses about the painting.
The effects on societal mental/social wellness is certainly a common concern as well
you'll get psysically hurt by them even befo' that
I refuse to believe that this amazing brutalist architecture originated from Britain. My first guess was it originated from the Soviet union.
'navia
I refuse to believe that this amazing brutalist architecture originated from Britain. Looks like it most probably originated from Soviet union
Seed of life
Purism ❤
Correct!
is not about beholder is about money most of this people are full of shet
Pfff... 1:58 - Overrated garbage that can be done by any 7 year old - or younger. That "painting" isn't worth the fabric it was "painted" on, but some urban fool was willing to pay millions for it... LMAO! Looks like not only Mr. Bowie himself was overrated but so is his "art" collection. I'm shocked he didn't own any of Andy Warhol's garbage as well.
❤ J’adore
❤❤❤
An art piece featured by an early Liberal minded individual - makes it queer itself in its symbolism? Furthermore; casting it in a way afterwards that screams “inclusivity”. We ruined art.
And how would this totally classify it as “queer” - as it was cross-dressed by a woman. ?
"Honesty in the materials." That's the fanciest gibberish I have ever heard. It literally means nothing. Brutalism was invented specifically to pull beauty and culture out of everything and make everything look the same back when communism was on the rise and they dreamed of the whole world looking the same. They wanted everything to be equal everywhere in the world and you can't do that when every culture has its own unique looks. It wasn't some grand conspiracy. They openly talked about this. They knew if they stripped the beauty from the world, it would demoralize the masses. Nobody wants to fight to defend a concrete box. The architects don't even want to live in their own creations.
The whimsy of artists?
That is ridiculous.
<3
Come on it should be obvious from just how the paintings look, the Brussels one looks horrendous and the private collection one looks tremendous.
yes, the facial feature and clothing is more expertly done, as anybody can see.
that doesn't prove when it was painted, only when the tree was cut down. You would need more evidence than that.
big ups for commenting what i thought chief
dendrochronology wasn't a thing hundred years ago. so if it was copy, why would they bother to find an older wooden board to paint on? and back than, making wooden board is not as easy as today, and they would not stock them and have old stock 10 years old gathering dust in some storage.
Okay but how do we know the wood panels are 10 years apart? You could know the separate ages of the trees at time of cutting out the panels, but that doesn’t necessarily communicate when the wood panels were made.
Oohhh @rickyjoe1492 ’s reply on @Oliverddd ‘s comment explains it, very cool. (If you can’t find that comment for some reason it explains that big events in nature (ex. droughts) visibly affect all tree rings in their development and thus provides synchronization for tree ring reading of lumber from a certain area when coupled with historical records of when those events happened.)
How do you know when the tree was planted? Rings tell you how many years a tree was growing? Sounds like bs
World events like droughts, fires, etc. affect how the rings grow and create a pattern. So if they know the years of these events, they can compare the ring patterns and derive the years. Very cool stuff.
Impressionist bs impairing so called "specialists" judgement, the older painting was clearly more detailed and superior to the later, it was so plain to see...
