Peter Murphy had this great heavy baritone of a wise angst ridden older gentleman even as a youth. That’s why it hasn’t aged. We from that era can close our eyes and be transported back to our own youth. This song and its lyrics fill me with such melancholy like so many PM songs. 😢

Miss the alternative 80s to 90s. Great voice and performance by all the band members like the others said. Most of all touched by that super Dad gesture. Remembered listening to this when I drove my brother to his 5 am shift to Brooklyn on NY's WDRE station.

Just saw your performance Pete on CZcams at the Alexandra Palace last Oct with Bauhaus..absolutely flawless!
