It’s so strange to hear about Ted having loving family relationships. Just beneath the surface was pure evil, and no one picked up on it. It goes to show how complex serial killer psychology really is.

Carol, thank you for sharing this. I know it can’t be easy to relive. Your role in nailing Ted Bundy is quite simply heroic. Although we can’t know how many other women’s lives you saved, I’m confident that it was at least a handful. Ted was a truly disturbed and evil man.

In nearly all the documentaries I’ve seen about Ted Bundy he is described as being “handsome, charming, intelligent”….. Having never had the misfortune of meeting the man, I can’t comment on his charm or intelligence but the “handsome” bit I just don’t get. I can never get past his eyes. He has the most dark, evil, soulless eyes I have ever seen. Even when he’s smiling or laughing, those eyes are downright scary. I can’t for the life of me understand why so many young women at the time became like Ted Bundy groupies, going to his trial and writing to him in prison on the sole ground of him being “handsome”….. The man was an evil psychopath and there was nothing handsome about him IMO of course.
