I was asked by a few to show the work on the furniture for the sword so I tried to capture that for those who are interested. I may end up doing a dedicated Habaki & Tsuba video in the future. Hey sir am I able to send you a twosun maverick for some jimping groves ?
@@mrrealegeno7004 Thanks for the question. Can you advise if it has already been heat treated and the type of steel.
@@jamesperkins9833 thank you for getting back to me. The blade has been heat treated by manufacturer. It’s a 3.5in pocket knife and the steal is M390
@@mrrealegeno7004 Greetings, if the blade has already been heat treated you would not be able to put Jimping on it by filing. You might contact the manufacturer and see if they can advise if they might be able to perform this. My guess is that they would have to normalize and then re-heat treat after jimping.
@@jamesperkins9833 oh man I was not aware of this. I thought one could just add jimping to a good old pocket knife. Any how thank you for the information sir!
@@mrrealegeno7004 you are most welcome.
Another gorgeous piece. It might be the lighting for the final showcase, but you are close to fooling my eyes into thinking you carved the blade out of a shard of meteorite.
Thank you so much, that’s very kind of you. Working that Mammoth will give me a heart attack though 🤣
@@jamesperkins9833 Dying for your art may be a romantic notion, but finishing the artwork is arguably much better!
This is frickin sweet!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
@@jamesperkins9833 you did a great job. I somehow found this challenge late and I really wish I’d found it 3 weeks ago so I could’ve voted
@@hunt_trap_fish Thanks buddy, they usually announce these challenges twice a year, and you can find them on Facebook. We’re still waiting to hear what the theme of the next challenge will be. They’ll probably announce it sometime this summer if you’d like to follow or enter yourself. Thanks again for watching. I appreciate it.
@@jamesperkins9833 sounds great! that's awesome and I'll keep an eye out
Also, @jamesperkins9833, where do I find the fb announcements?
Awesome blade! Thanks for walking us through the journey!
Thanks Bethany 🙏

Thank you for watching!
Whoa cool.
Thank you so much!
Thank you much.
Beautiful !
Thank you for watching!
Nice job.
Thanks much, I appreciate it.
Great build. Fish hook canister is one of my favorites. Enjoyed the music as well. Thanks for posting.
Thank you. This being my first canister build I was pretty nervous about it. Thanks again.
I'm going to like, for your participation, and 4 seconds. Thank you.
Thank you James, much appreciated!
Great knife! The coolest part was seeing my 22-month-old grandson dance to your music.
Thanks man, glad your grandson liked the tunes!
Bruh the pattern is 🔥
Thank you very much, I appreciate that!
Great job on the knife, and the video, Jim! Thanks for sharing! 😎👍🏻🔨🔥🔪
Thanks Bob, much appreciated.
I haven't the foggiest idea why CZcams decided to recommend your video to me, but I can safely say that you've earned yourself a subscription! I wish you the best of luck in your blacksmithing journey!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you saying this! 🙏❤️
Great job Jim! I've only been Bladesmithing/Knife Making for 7 1/2 months now, but I got in on the challenge as well. I made a Seax, and it has been a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing your work with us, and good luck on the challenge! ... Bob Gore METALSTORM FORGE! 🔥🙏🏻😎👍🏻☯️

Awesome Blade Jim!! 😀👍👍
Thanks Smitty, lots of little detail in this one. Pics don’t do it justice. Can’t wait to see yours.
Such a cool knife. You did it well.👏👏
Thank you much!
I have wore out my old jimping files. Time to get some new ones!
That’s a whole lot of Jimping lol
Sweet tip James!
Aww, It looks so beautiful. 😃😃
Thank you 🙏
Man some day I'll attend one of these, just to see everyone's cool blades!
This will be my first trip, pretty stoked for it!
That's awesome- I hope you sell a bunch of your stuff!
Knifely done bud🤙
Thanks buddy!
Beautiful blade. Great story behind it.
Thanks Roger, I appreciate it.
This is what a chopper should be. I spend a lot of time in the woods and lugging around heavy hatchet all day sucks. Big knives are extra useful and weigh a lot less.
Thank you much, that’s what I was going for considering how it might be used. I appreciate the comment/view.
Great job bro👏
Thanks Sis ☺️
It turned out absolutely fantastic and I truly love the story behind it keep up the awesome work
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
I've spent the past few days watching videos submitted on time. There's no link for voting with any video. I just want you to know, if I could, you'd have my vote.
Thank you Michelle, I very much appreciate it. I believe since I’m a viewer participant it is the ‘CZcams Channel makers’ who vote on us but I really appreciate the compliment.
Outstanding work. I'm really like it 🙂🙂
Thank you so much!
Very cool and very thoughtful.
Thank you Sidney 🙏
What a beautiful piece of art, excellent video🤙👊✌️

Another beautiful build James! And the engraving on the plaque is amazing!! :)
Thanks buddy, still pretty rough around the edges with the graver but I’ll get there.
Great job Jim!
Thanks Tony, I appreciate it.
Thanks for sharing James. Beautiful piece of work!
Thanks buddy.
that wood is gorgeous, the blade is gorgeous. Amazing craftsmanship. All around amazing work. KUDOS!
Thanks buddy, much appreciated. I had three sets of scales from the supplier, it was a tough decision which one to use.
