I cried a lot during this game. I'm currently on my second playthrough and dear god, I'm still crying. Just because I see things I didn't before, and because I'm reminded how hard everything hits. This story is easily the best one, and I will die on that hill.

One thing I absolutely loved about the character design is Dutch and Hosea's outfits. Dutch is mainly dressed in black and red, colors mainly for the bad guy or an antagonist, while Hosea is dressed in lighter colors like blue and tan which are colors that are akin to a more calm mentor figure. You can even see it in their personalities. Dutch is a closeted mad man with a thirst for blood, and Hosea is the Old Man that just wants to look out for his family. Another reason as to why this game needs to be made a part of history itself.

My Favorite settlement area. But it’s so annoying you can’t scrap the fuel hoses. No mod or nothing. That area has so much potential.

It’s amazing how building up to the game’s release, I hated that we weren’t playing as John Marston anymore and just some dude that was never mentioned to be in Dutch’s gang. After I played the game in 2018 I 100% agree that Arthur Morgan is one of the best written protagonists in not just video games, movies, shows, film, etc. As well as Roger Clarke’s performance being absolutely one of the best video game performances ever.

You can be redeemed of your sins before six months by asking THE LORD JESUS CHRIST for your sins and profess JESUS is GOD and truly repent I think sister Calderon could have mentioned this but Rockstar wouldn't want to give the true chance at redemption JESUS CHRIST IS KING

There's a method to duplicate resources in the base game, by basically scrapping and storing a material at the same time. I think IGN has stuff on it, buts it's really great for settlement building.

it's really emotional how throughout the game Arthur was a badass who wasn't afraid of death despite a thousand bullets flying towards him, but in the end when he gets TB and knows he will die soon he's finally afraid, this game is so good at making you feel attached to the characters..

Arthur always reminds me of my dad, so seeing him die was the saddest thing in the world like my actual dad died, most I ever cried about something

Chuck Norris once got scared after watching Arthur Morgan give him a death stare.

My biggest problem with this game is its pretentions to open ended-ness. I felt things going awry towards the end, and disagreed with what Arthur was made to do. The whole game up to that point made me feel like I was in control, but when the story took over....well, the story took over. I wasn't playing Arthur anymore, I was watching Arthur. And I was watching Arthur not make choices that led to everything going wrong. If I was in control, things would have gone differently, even with the jank ass controls. Don't give me an open beautiful world to play in, if, in actuality, you're giving me a laser tight story to experience. You can't have both.

Arguably one of the greatest stories ever told about a fictional character. The only shame is so few will get to play through it as it is a game.

It’s crazy how I played 1&2 in 2024..Loved John in 1 and was crushed but couldn’t play with him after I played with Arthur! I started the whole thing and avoided Downes mission for the longest. Watching that scumbag cough blood in my face I wanted to kill him!!!!

The biggest thing this guy missed and a lot of others have pointed out is Arthur's journal. That's the KEY aspect of depth of this character, no one apart from the player knew the thoughtful, artistic, and introspective Arthur. They either knew him as a bad man, or a kind man, but only the player knew the true Arthur. That's the beauty of the journal.

His conversation with sister Calderon is the deepest & most meaningful talk between two characters in a game ever. Just imo.. if him saying he's scared doesn't hit ya, I don't know what will.

It's magical. About the only way I can describe how Arthur's story is told. You'll laugh, think, & feel sad over the same parts no matter how many times you do them.

I just finished my first playthrough. I got my honor pretty low and started to bring it back up pretty soon before the TB diagnosis, and ended the game with high honor. I feel like that fits so well narratively because it has Arthur struggling with his actions and wanting to do better before his mortality is even part of the equation. God the honor system is such a cool addition bc it gives you a different story for every playthrough
