6 years since the game came out and this is still really helpful. The trick to it if anyone is still watching this is to go over the wall and hold a and then to run past the cullis gate and stay right. After that you should get it.

I've seen the gold key up there but I was wondering how you get it. I tried almost about anything, but didn't get it. Then I noticed the flit switch on the other part of driftwood and was wondering if it is for the key.

My Chillbreath Caverns does not look even remotely close to yours. Was there an update for this game I missed, or something? There is absolutely no paths that veer off to the right except for when you find the little girl in the beginning of the game. This has just confused me even more....

For anyone wondering: This video shows 7 of the 12 flowers in Shifting Sands. (So its not a complete guide but it shows the tough sand stuff.) The remaining 5 flowers are located in Sandfall Palace. The 5 in the palace are 2 green, 2 red, and 1 blue.

you just have to progress far enough for construction to be done. the plank comes after the carpenter quest. and the other for the bridge I haven't reached yet.
