DIY Motorized Scarecrow Built to Protect Gardens & Sprouting Food Plots from Deer.
This is the second year that we planted sweet corn at our weekend house in the Appallation mountains (originally my great grandparents house). Last year, the deer ate the silk off the cobs when the cobs were only half grown.

See more information and more attachments at www.ratchetrake.com/ I previously cleared an area to build my kids fort using a 68" Ratchet Rake mounted on a skid steer. I recently downsized to a 22 horsepower tractor and a 52" Ratchet Rake and decided to clear the remainder of our backyard jungle. One upside of using a smaller machine is that it could fit between the tightly packed trees. Even th...

On my 5th year with mine. Pulling out brush, grading, prepping for seeding, it's been a great tool for my purposes.
Had mine for close to a year. Amazing!!! Great product. Great quality. Multiple uses around the land.
Thank you! We appreciate your feedback on the Ratchet Rake.
If you have multi flora roses. This is the tool for you. Plunge into them drop the bucket to the ground and back up. Takes it out roots and all. So simple. Considering the small investment you can't go wrong. Great for stone driveways also.
I love this attachment so much it works awesome. The best attachment you will ever own
Use the heck out of mine. Made a slight mod in order to push brush into a burn pile without melting the straps. czcams.com/video/VWABrmRPF-A/video.html
Best implement I ever bought
Ours comes in tomorrow boy do I have a load of work for it
Beautiful, now I know I did right by ordering one to do at my farm exactly what you just did at yours! Awesome demo of a very useful tool!
Just ordered mine. I have 3 acres and about 1.5 of it needs some serious brush removal.
Thank you for posting this. Too bad some people are so rude.
next thing i get is going to be one of these, being on a budget .
Ive owned one for 4 years and absolutely the best implement that you can buy, used to clear overgrown 5th rows at hunting club. Knockdown small trees and work back and forth to pull roots and all out of ground. If even thinking about it, pull the trigger and do it.
I notice you don't have ballast mounted in the rear. Are the tires loaded?
No the tires are not loaded but that machine is relatively heavy for a 22 hp tractor. It has an operating weight with the bucket of over 2500 lbs. When plowing snow, I keep the rear axle locked up which also helps for traction.
@@ratchetrakellc the reason I'm asking, I have Massey Ferguson gc1710, intending to remove the backhoe for plowing with the snow edge (I just bought one), am wondering if I could get by without mounting a ballast box and/or loading the tires. Your video gives me the impression I could do without either and be ok.
@@pondacres For pushing snow on a level surface or down hill your machine will be fine without any extra weight.
Two thumbs up. Received mine yesterday and was in the back 40 for a few hours making all kinds of progress taking out scrub brush and small trees. Money well spent!
A Bobcat tractor without a quick attach seems a little ironic
That attachment comes in handy for cleaning up grown up areas you want to expand one's lawn, or pasture land.
Bought one and have been using it to clear property and make trails. Best $300 I spent for my tractor.
I would have put the strap rackets on the back side of the bucket so they would stay clean
That would get more abrasion. That's the reason the steel wire loops exist at all is to run along the outside of the bucket and take more abuse.
While that video might not be the best that attachment is indestructible and worth every penny and there made in Carlisle PA.
I think it's quite unimpressive and pretty much a BS video.
Jed O perhaps the funniest comment I've ever read
Very impressed.
The before and after pictures at the end were amazing!
I have a 1720 D Yanmar tractor and this was the perfect addition. I was amazed at how well it works !
Thanks for this great video! I'm sold!
I own one and it has been a fantastic tool. You can break up compacted dirt mounds and works wonders as a rake to clean things up when you are done
