      @jkoco199 Před rokem

      Surprisingly, they did not get hot! If they had been black pebbles or gravel, then maybe. I moved away from there 7 years ago. Now, I have 2 acres instead of a tiny backyard. Thank you for watching and commenting :)

    How did you avoid picking up pea gravel with the poop? We don't have a confined area, but our dogs do poop in the pea-graveled border of our yard, and the pooper scooper always picks up the pea gravel with the poo.

    • @jkoco199
      @jkoco199 Před rokem

      The pooper scooper got some pea gravel. It was such a small amount it never mattered. I never needed to replace the pea gravel ever.

    My dog prefers to potty in my unused driveway. So I was thinking of doing the same toward the back end. Glad this works!!! USE FELT NOT WEED FABRIC THOUGH! Weed fabric is a scam. It tears and punctures easily and weed seeds CAN get through it and grow underneath. Cheap felt is too thick and dense for ANY weed seed to get through. I was thinking of sloping the felt down to a drain pipe with holes to ensure excellent drainage for rinsing since we freeze solid in winter, fry and dry in summer. She killed lawn and giant weeds grew instead. A mess.

    Has anyone heard of using pine shavings instead of the pea gravel? I’m wondering what would be better.

    • @jkoco199
      @jkoco199 Před 2 lety

      Cool idea. It would smell great for a bit. But, when wet it gets moldy and it will rot and need to be top coated or replaced. Pea gravel is rinse and walk away.

    • @jkoco199

    • @jkoco199
      @jkoco199 Před 2 lety

      Well... it's a great bow. It's fast, accurate and quiet. But. It's a bit heavy compared to today's more modern crossbows. I've killed plenty of deer with it, out to 47 yards, standing and broadside. I have about 5 other modern crossbows now. They are lighter, faster, and adjustable for my young kids. Overall, it's a GREAT bow! Thanks for watching :)

    We made the same change to pea gravel. My Labrador actually loves it! We added shrubs, potted plants, string lighting, a fire pit and cast aluminum table and chairs...and it looks like a little Tuscan paradise. My friends thought the pea gravel was a design choice because it looks so nice. I'll never tell that the original intention was a doggie litter box! Also, there is no smell. 😉
