if you changed your background to grey, couldn't you also do the same for the shape so it's not the white "cut" through the item? Also, you can just left click on a shape and select "move to front" or "move forward" etc

how to spot if need a horizontal or vertical?

Hi Lisa, We spoke before, last year, I'm the "Bristolian". My Autobiography was started before I found your wonderful tutorials. 250 pages, manually inserted photos, did the page numbering correctly. But now, watching your excellent tutorials on a 3 monitor setup I want to correct issues like photos moving, text not wrapping correcly etc. I think I need to delete the "Contents" listing" and start again. Because this book has been "WIP" since 1987, a few anomalies, different fonts, sizes etc. Could I select say, 2 pages at a time, and change to Ariel 10? Can you send me the tutorials for that please? Awesome tutorial! I combined what I learned in this video with some info learned in other videos. Here are some modifications that I made: 1) Enable the Developer tab on the ribbon. I used the content controls menu to insert fillable text fields, date fields, and check boxes that can be toggled on and off with a simple click. 2) Rather than using the alignment tools in the Layout tab to get all those checkboxes aligned, I built a table with no borders inside each of the big cells containing the options, then I lined up my check boxes and descriptions into the cells of the nested table - a bit easier! 3) I used the "Restrict Editing" option in the Developer tab to lock down all but the fillable bits of the form. If your check boxes are still inside those draggable text boxes, you might have issues with this setting... I couldn't toggle the check boxes on/off until I took them out of the text boxes.... but if you do like I did and align your check boxes using a table instead of using text boxes, you can get around this weird snag.

Hello, thank you for the tutorial. It was great and well explained. I wanted to know though, if you aren’t able to add hyperlinks in a text box? I tried , but when I select the link icon, it does not give me the option to select heading. I can only select “Top of document “. Any suggestions?

This was great! But can anyone help me change the size of the header once I removed the logo? Our main page logo takes a good part of our header so when I removed it the header stayed the same size.

That's just a document that looks like a form. Unless you're going to print it out and have people fill it with pen/pencil, then that's not the way to do it. Instead, use the Developer tab (which is switched off by default) and insert Controls (such as text boxes, check boxes, lists, etc.).

Great video, but actually needs updating to current versions. Also note that Word on the web cannot do some of this, you have to have the desktop version. It's a PITA as it will glitch up---there's a stupid hidden way you have to get the desktop version even if you're licensed! (I'm using an enterprise license so you'd think it would work, but NOOOooooooo. Still after all these decades stupid MS trix. Sheesh)

This is crazy. I had one page, I was just moving my cursor and in one second it just changed to two pages by itself...how come it has to be so complicated to switch it back? It takes one second to move by itself to two pages, it should take one second to put it back. So what do I do to put it back in one second? There doesn't seem be any button to do that, how come it changed in one second? And now all my word documents are like that and new ones... Microsoft starter 2010 - I go to page layout then columns... and it's already says "one" so why is it showing more two pages like a book if it says "one? All my word documents are ruined.

How do you copy the box again?
