I definitely wouldn’t fix the suspension on that - it’s a parts car. If you have the space I’d recommend parting it out until you at least make your money back and then scrapping the rest, or try to sell it to someone else who is equipped to do that.

You get what you pay for, wishful thinking will not help here.

Thanks for the video and the updates. My local shop offered FCS as a cheaper option for my 2011, 13 yr old CRV. There are lots of so-so comments about these, but that's true of most products. Your experience over time gives me confidence that saving $100s on the installed FCS is the way to go for me. They must be better than the totally shot suspension the car has now.

We have 2008 Highlander Sport with 185K miles been using Valvoline MaxLife ATF since around 60K miles. Just recently did the drop pan, replaced the strainer and cleaned the magnets. Tip is use a 10mm 45deg offset wrench and a regular ratcheting wrench for the corner ones near the frame, It just takes time and be careful when during tightening the bolts back. If you buy the parts/fluids @ Toyota parts online then do local dealer pick up, price would be cheaper. Oil filter $4.50 and ATF WS $11 per quart @ Lemon Grove Toyota.

When i did the drain i measured a total of 6 quarts that came out is it ok if i put 5 quarts or should i add another quart?

I own a 2007 Highlander also. FWD. I installed 4 new FCS Struts from Rock Auto and I also replaced the end links. I also purchased 4 Cooper Grand Touring tires. Perhaps I'm easily pleased. 1 month out and all is well....

I bought one of those new and I love it I still have it.

the bose lifestyle unit does not have a built in amplifier . the amplifier is in the acoustimas unit. the bose is a component like a tape deck, a tuner, a cd player - if you plug it into an amplifier and run speakers out of the amp you will get sound. I was unaware of this when i bought one used. you cant run speakers out of the back of the bose lifestyle unit, if someone has done so , please share how you did it. I used a non integrated amp ( no volume control knob) and the bose acted like a preamp when attached. all volume was controlled by the bose

Those aftermarket struts ride like crap. Very stiff and feels like no spring at all over bumps or imperfections. Got to use oem springs.

I put FCS Struts and shocks on my wife's Ford Edge... and they've been OK. So I went back to give them a second go on my Ford FiveHundred. We shall see....as that job is in progress. There's LOTS of folks that down-talk the FCS brand... but I've had an OK experience. Fit has been good on everything so far.

A long- time mechanic told me that if the car has more than 100,000 miles and the transmission fluid has never been changed then only do a partial change to prevent slipping. To go from a fluid with some metallic residue to a fluid with none may actually cause transmission failure.

just found this video These are excellent speakers, not subwoofers, for audiophiles. Adding one to Left and Right stereo can make LP stereo sound nearly perfect. Unless these go bad, not destroy like in this video, there is a demand for LP audiophile community.

I had one given to me months ago with the remote and owner’s manual. I can’t figure out how to connect my remote to my Panasonic Triple Play CRT TV. If you have any advice, that’d be great! Can’t find any information online.
