Using wet and dry surfaces, we use our range of watercolours with each other, from pan colours to markers and watercolour sticks, to show the variety of marks that can be achieved. A dry surface with a marker leaves a bold line but using the marker on wet paper makes for a more subtle mark. The same is true to varying degrees for all of the watercolours, a wet surface always creates a softer ma...

Dynamic collages can be created using our paint, mediums and a combination of materials. In his later years, Matisse used acrylic paint to create collage material for his ‘cut-out’ paintings by having his assistants paint giant swatches of colour that were then cut and collaged at his direction to create immersive works in his room. Here, we paint out areas of acrylic colour on watercolour pape...

Is that an overglaze? Luster ?
Great video - wondering why the Liquitex Soft Body Mixing Set has different colors then listed here? Thanks
Excellent result.
In all simplicity: Hues: pure/distinct color Tints: hue+white Tones: hue+grey Shades: hue+black Note: tints, shades, and tones are all desaturated colors. You can also desaturate colors using their complimentary colors and using the exact complimentary color will give you gray. Idk if there is a special term for this desaturation tho.
Just a suggestion - paint both sides the same colour to really see the difference. The left side is very dark, so of course the one on the right is going to look 'brighter.'
Thank u.
Not an artist, as I found a few bottles of this in my mom's basement and she painted. I found your explanation very insightful. Thank you.
Can this be used as a resist for silk /fabric and watercolor paper? How to remove it later? On silk can it be colored?
I want to thank you. Now i know how to color it . Awesome my style❤
Helpful
I know this is an old video but… I use a combination of slow drying paints, open line from golden, along with their open thinner, open medium, open gel and, with regular acrylics, I may use some retarder. The best part is the paint on the sealed palette can be used for a couple of weeks and may just need a drop of thinner to get back to workable. I get a range of working times by varying what I use and what ratios I mix. Worth mentioning, I never use water. After using the various mediums and additives I don’t like water.
Its really hard to blend with acrylic since it drys so fast
You’re using liquid paint. How about basics acrylic?
Thank you great information
So owhat's a decent ink for Calligraphy please?
Thank You
Extreamly informative, thank you!
Interesting, thank you
The word depth confuses the purpose of ur video..u don't want to use a word that also has links to distance when working with an artform that specifically deals with creating the illusion of distance/depth within a 2D plane..there are so many better words that u can substitute: variety, interest, character..and u even make a point about the value needing to be the same which eli.inates depth(!!)
Well done Thank you
I put a blob in the paint without water lol. Glad I watched this.
What is the name of this painting
Whole thing looks laborious.
Thank you very much.
Metalik olmayan yağlı boyalarla karıştırılabilir mi?
This is not impressive at all. I have the Liquitex slow-dri medium and it lasted for an hour and a half with just a couple of drops
Wow, this was very clear. I'm looking to do a glazing on part of a painting with white, but only have Titanium. Looks like that isn't such a great idea...
Should we let the watercolour wash over gum arabic dry or let the watercolour dry on unmasked paper only, before rubbing it!? Coz the masked area dries several minutes late.
The mixtures looked exactly the same before the editing cut. After the cut there is clearly more rose madder added to the mixture.
Every time I use masking fluid, it ends up ripping off the paper when I try to peel it off! Does anybody know why? It doesn't seem to matter the quality of paper I use, the length of time I leave the masking fluid, or how thick a layer of masking fluid I use. It happens regardless and I'm at a loss on what to do😅
Try a different masking fluid. Apparently schminke is better for tearing. There is a comparative test available online.
Everything video I need to view in one stop! Tytyty
not Galeria papertowel or Galeria water though...
Can we use the flow aid with basics?
Perfect, thank you for clarifying the difference!
This is a very basic demonstration. Is image transfer possible?
I had a picture by Monet and he painted a boat the blue of the sky. I drew the air blue wisping along the luff in the sail.
If I prevent crazing in impasto will I get this effect with a brush?
That did help understanding opaque and transparent. Thank you
Beautifully done
Such an easy to follow lesson; many thanks!
Why is it called How it's made, acrylic clear binder, yet you don't show how to make the acrylic clear binder. That's what I wanna know how how to make. You take dried pigment and add it to acrylic. But I hoping you were gonna show how to make the binder from scratch, cause it's hard to find videos that show how to make the binder from home
Its because you cannot make the binder st home. The same way for watercolors where the binder is gum arabic. You cannot make gum arabic at home. The same way for oil colors. You cannot make linseed oil st home 🤦♂️
@@Raffiarslanian961yes you can make watercolour binder at home 😐
You can't make gum arabic and linseed oil at home, but you can purchase them and make the binder at home. So wtf do we need in order to make acrylic binder?
Dear sir, I want make acrylic sheets, can you help me? I want to know how to make? What kinds of materials are used to make sheet? Please send me your contact details if you have no problem, thanks and good time
Thank you, very helpful video😊
Thank you so much this helps to understand so better of the Color’s.
before buying a paint, how do i know if that color is opaque or transparent? will it say it on the packaging?
would this work on watercolor paper? thanks!
Galeria is like painting with food coloring and mayonnaise. These techniques can be used with any brand. I do appreciate the mention of quinacridone magenta and violet as well as the explanation of transparency and opacity. Winsor Blue is Pthalo blues
Hello, how to prepare acrylic paint formula, please help me
Liquitex POURING MEDIUM have a pornografic price for 0,964 litr
Great examples and so refreshing to see W&N Galeria paints getting some recognition for a change! I think they are sooo under-rated. I use various acrylic paint brands now but Galeria have been my staple for many years. I also utilise this 'water drop' technique a lot for backgrounds mainly and get some surprising and stunning results while experimenting with different colours. I know it's a year later but I thank you for this demo which truly deserves many more 'Likes'. You got mine!
