Appallingly conducted. Zero empathy. Zero support. Unless this was produced to demonstrate what not to do it is indeed most astounding this was deemed to be an acceptable inclusion, with this otherwise terrific collection showcasing well developed best practice examples of professional and thoughtful consulting skills. This most certainly is not how one ought to conduct an appropriate and professional consultation, this is an example of techniques in interrogation. Her body language, tone of voice, speed of voice in conjunction with her dismissive almost aloof slightly judgemental approach is antithetical to productive outcomes when managing a patient, particularly a medical colleague, struggling with such sensitive issues. I appreciate the need to be clear, keep the conversation relevant and remain immune from manipulative charm and other behaviours common with this pathology. A great deal more information would be elicited from such a patient by demonstrating compassion and establishing trust. This demonstration is better suited to training police interrogation skills or how to conduct of a high school discipline meeting between a dean and her underperforming student.

Haha, this looks like more honest consultation than all those fake empathy RCGP examples of good consultations. I mean who normal would actually empathize with this woman, she has URTI and is acting worse than someone with cancer.
