The sewing should be done with needles at both ends of the thread, and that will make a continuous stitch as you should into each hole from either side, and pull tight, this willl give you a better snug fit. (Check out on CZcams for Leather Sewing tips). The ladder piece should have the arms of the cat piece through them, and then you bend the arms down so it secures the piece better.

This is an interesting idea for a craft and I really like the striped candles you made too. For the window candle I guess you just to make smaller windows or make the candle beefier. Maybe if the beeswax was a little warm it would make rolling it a little easier?

I recently purchased one of these and ran into the same issue: how do you switch bits? Instructions say there should be a wrench but there was not one in the package.
