Hi there! I'm back, Sorry it's been so long, have been working on some other projects! Writing some original music! (although quite different to this) Here it is, finally the Eb version of My Stevie Ray Vaughan video! Remember if you havn't tuned down, you have to play a fret down from where the notes are normally (and in the pictures) Let me know what you want more of whether it's backing tracks, guitar tips, etc. Might get back to one video a week!

In the first octave you played the sharp 7 and in the second octave you played the 6th. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
Hey there! Yeah that’s the whole point of the video :) showing you can use extra notes to add to the blues scale. So in the first octave I’ve added the 7(or Maj 7) and in the second octave the 6 (or the 13 as it’d often be referred to there)… however in my demonstration at the end I did accidentally play the 3rd out of habit 😅

Classical guitarists use that technique a lot. When I was studying jazz guit in college, I discovered that technique seeing my classical guit friends doing it.

this is the same concept as striking behind the nut. the reduced string length and increased tension behind where you're fretting allows you to create high pitched notes
No matter how insane a guitar piece someone writes it seems (your polyphia's, Steve vai's, dream theatre's) I've noticed there's always a talented person capable of covering it. Yet to this day not a single soul has covered the intro to mulberry mouse by Alan gogoll

The guitar solo is created in the moment. That said, regarding Stevie Ray Vaughan, he’s one of my favorite guitarists and I am very familiar with his work and style. And since these are informal recordings they are not formally mixed. @@saturn.music.studies Thanks! 🙏🌟 About a year ago, I noticed that CZcams had created the CZcams shorts addition to the CZcams platform. Originally, I decided to create these improvisational collaboration music videos as shorts. Though I quickly realized it takes more than 60 seconds to adequately create cool harmonies and melodies that add to the track and capture the vibe of the track, and would be memorable to listeners. Sure in 60 seconds I could do a couple quick licks, though my opinion the entire video is better by being longer. I think that the idea of shorts is cool. I will do others. Though for our videos the longer format is best 🌟🎸 Additionally, and continuing still, I practice daily, most often on my acoustic guitar. These music videos are recorded during practice sessions and are recorded live and in one take. I like challenging my playing skills so I don’t do a run-through before filming. I listen several times and then record. Granted, I am very familiar with most of the genres and playing styles that I am selecting, and I am certainly familiar with all the standard songs and progressions. That comes from decades of playing. Certainly, you and all advanced players notice the same and agree 🌟🎸 Regarding this video, while practicing and while playing live, at times a string goes slightly out of tune, or just breaks. Keeping with my original idea, this video is done in one take and although a string goes out of tune, I decided to still upload this video. I might even do another version. I know can do better. Your track is killer 🌟🎸 And SRV is one of my favorite players and certainly influential in my playing. Thank you again 🙏 for creating and providing all the cool tracks! 🌟🎼🎶🎵🎶✨

Hi there @@jenn7068 So glad you're enjoying it! I'm also from Melbourne! I don't have anything for certain about that, but I'll try to piece together something from the knowledge I do have. (I definitely am no doctor, so I'll be coming from a guitar perspective) With self taught guitarists often I find there is some technique that is lacking (which can actually work in peoples favor sometimes, it's not always a bad thing - look at Eric Gales self taught technique, he is incredible!) Buuuuuuuuuuut... when you add dexterity issues and improper technique it could be trickier to do certain things. Can I ask if the issue is more towards pain or your hands not feeling strong enough or numbness etc? I've got things I'd recommend for each but I'd love to know a bit more, Shoot me an email at saturn.st.studio@gmail.com happy to help out!
@@saturn.music.studies Thank you for such a considered reply! You’re spot on, there’s no denying that my technique is far from ideal. I have no problem acknowledging that :) My son is a classically trained professional trumpet player, so I’m dialled in to technique being key. Pun intended! I have hand & finger deformities from my congenital neuropathy which has always been a work around tbh. Instrument teachers wouldn’t take me on as a student so self taught was my only option. Sorry ADHD brain, I ramble… I’ll shoot through an email But again, thank you. I’m always keen to support muso /content creators worth their salt!

Works really well, once you can organise your pinky finger to use the volume knob
Love the one chord vamps, I find with them you can play outside notes and really colour the song in your own way, using more then just the Dorian Scale here!
