Too many spinoffs
I was so incredibly happy when I found out that Josh Homme helped to create this song, another reason why he's my favorite musician
i prefer this song than the original xD
Once open a time in the west pure master piece and fist full of dynamite, class, it's got everything 🎥📽️
Excellent commentary thanks
I really wonder how influenced Miyazaki was by Castlevania. Playing through SoTN now, there are a bunch of weird parallels. A good number of weapons share the same name (Zweihänder, Morning Star, and Estoc to name a few), which of course also exist in reality, but it’s like he cherry-picked the ones he liked from Castlevania. Also, the whole mixing of Japanese swords and samurai tools into a predominantly European gothic world. The weapon art system, some of the purposely strange food items and consumables, the fondness for hidden areas and breakable/illusory walls, etc
This game is such a treat for MOTHER fans; so much care taken to detail and world-building. I loved it.
Good video but your analogy doesn't make logical sense. For as opposed to the human body, which is really comprised of meaningful and functioning parts, space is replete with lifeless organs or rather, planets, that look like failed experiments of chance.
imo the best part was watching alinivar get happier as the song progressed, really nice touch.
I've always thought of the From Software games being directly influenced by Castlevania It kind of irks me when people say Demon/Dark Souls created a genre of games
Eterni i suoi film
'Once upon a time in America' is an absolute masterwork, "I think it's one of the greatest movies ever made" said James Woods "and I wish I wasn't in it so I could say that more fervently". Scorsese has often said that 'Once Upon a Time in the West' and 'Once Upon a Time in America' are cinematic masterpieces. Director James Cameron was once asked to compare 'The Godfather' vs 'Once Upon a Time in America' and he said "one is a movie, the other is cinema".
Nice
This is so funny good job by the way
Yojimbo was, in real life, none other than legendary samurai Musashi.
once upon a time in america is the most beautiful cinematogrophy of all time
0:25 Goooovy Dance
seriously, leone is passing missunderstanding maybe becaus of his political criticise opinions. duration of moovies must not be a probleme, after all,no one can put a doubt about genious of film maker, even music of morricone. it's like that. leone makes the best ever moovies in history may be. he deserve to have an international price or trophee or any other consecretion in his name. to be a stranger is very tough .but maybe a reason to make something good and different against all odds.
A Master of cinema..Rip Maestro..one of the greatest ever lived
“Unfortunately, Leone’s future is not so bright after this”… “no one took notice til later.” You mean, among American audiences? Leone was revered in Europe and amongst many of those American actors he had worked with. It was on the strength of their opinion of him that actors such as Eli Wallach, Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, James Coburn agreed to work with him and all said great things about him etc… Kirk Douglas wanted the part of Cheyenne in OUATITW John Carpenter had ‘Jill’s Theme’ played at his wedding In Paris, France, the uncut version of Once Upon A Time… West was shown continually in one theatre for two years. Once Upon A Time… West was also the last film on which Leone acted as full-time director. His later films were edited in the USA by their distributors which is why they failed. You have to remember that American audiences expected every film to be like ‘Herbie Rides Again.’ Or to have ‘box-office’ actors in the starring roles. I had never heard of ‘Duck You Sucker.’ Only when you used the title ‘A Fistful Of Dynamite’ could I understood what you were talking about. I always felt that each of Leone’s films (Dollars and Once Upon) could have been regarded as part of a Organon as they each feature an aspect of America during a different era (even though this is seen from a European perspective).
I'm surprised there aren't tons of videos about this on CZcams. The parallels are so clear, and if Konami ever got off their ass they would have the perfect blueprint for a 3D castlevania.
What's fantastic about Dark Souls in Castlevania you can actually beat these games without leveling up once Castlevania 1 didn't have a leveling up system Dark Souls does but you don't have to use the leveling up system you can get through the whole game at level 1
2:41 That's some *Nice* Cartdrige
I am happy. Zoom!
Once upon a time in the West was cut for its US realise but the movie was shown in Europe the way Leone wanted it to be. And it was a huge success, especially in France where the movie is today ranked the 7th most successful movie in the French box office history (it only counts the first exploitation of the movie).
Duck you Sucker might be the most underrated movie of all time.
The easy ring actually x4 experience.
3:25 Undertale does random encounters-
One issue is that Ninten's house is very close to downtown Podunk, but it feels like forever to get there due to random encounter
not just any castlevania, CASTLEVANIA *SOTN* FOR LIFE
It's a shame Leone never received a honorary Oscar
Who really cares, tbh. Award shows are just a publicity stunt anyways. The real reward is having an impact on the culture. When everyday people are watching you, quoting you, influenced and moved by you, dressing up as your characters on Halloween -that is the greatest award of them all.
"...and if you're a comic books fan, [it's] very Grant Morrison-y" sold me
Some of the best movies ever made in the last 2 weeks I'v watch 3 of his movies.
Once you had Leone and Morricone, you were in for something very special.
No I doesn’t carona killing ny
the music at the begenning please ?
It's called Welcome to the World of Mother 3, I think. It's on the game's soundtrack.
6:28 “In early 2015, a fab game called Mother 4 will be released” Oof
Oddity Babyyy
Sergio leone, is a director, of Legend ,of, Cowboys, I love is move
*Long Live Tuco!* ..........the greatest Western character ever created
Leone's future was not as bright after his first trilogy? Had to stop watching this video at 4:25
His later movies were revered in hindsight, unfortunately. When they were released, the studios cut out a lot of what he was trying to do. We all love those movies now, because of the recent DVDs and Blu Rays that have the director's cut that was more close to his vision.
Uh... What? Once Upon a Time in the West is probably his best movie
@@edgepresentschannel you speak from a point of view of US distribution, but in Europe his films remained in the version that Leone had conceived from the beginning and they immediately had a great success!
Fantastic commentary and insight, edgepresents. Stray Bullets is probably one of my all-time favorite modern comics
Nice explanation and yes his visuals and music are unforgettable, the music at 2:15 is ingrained in my mind from watching this over 40 years ago with my Dad. I just watched "Duck you Sucker" the other day and was telling someone about his use of extreme close ups, like of the mouth's talking in the stagecoach scene with Steiger, genius.
Lol e-toe-e
The graphics in mother 3 are actually 32 bit
While ness could be related to the NES it could also be an anagram for the SNES. Or maybey his name could be a reference to both.
My grandma says fuzzy pickles
Gee's what a random upload...
I think the amazing level design on Dark Souls is a perfect example of how a SotN style would work in 3D
Honestly, Dark Souls feels like what they were going for In Simon's Quest.
Exactly
