Oh come on now. The temps got up to mid 40s. What else do you need? I was actually surprised the Hoosier r7s game up to pressure just fine and lat g forces were pretty good. But the temps were a challenge. Thanks for posting. What color is your car and what run group were you running in?

I just moved to Bham and have an e46 M3. Yours has many more upgrades than mine though. I’m definitely envious. I’m going to get out to Barber next spring, but coilovers and a wider square setup need to get put on it first. General observation (not meant to be critical, just for reflection): you have a tendency to clutch-in through corners (particularly under braking). This takes away the opportunity for rotation under throttle and it also decreases your speed on the next straight since you will lose the opportunity to improve cornering exit speed. The beautiful thing about BMWs is that their pedals are incredibly well placed for heel-toe’ing. If you can routinely drive a manual car (with the roll cage, I assume you daily something else), practice heel-toe rev matching on every downshift whenever you’re driving in town. Practice makes perfect and will help you get that clutch out sooner on the track. Nice drive out there. Hope you enjoyed your first time on barber and maybe I’ll see you out there next spring!
Thanks man! Yea I’ve been to barber once more after this video and have gotten a lot better with heel-toe. I knew that was a problem going into that track day😂. We got very lucky that we bought the car already like that and have only had it a few months. I should be there next spring I hope to see you there too!
@@dawsonparker3222 That’s a nice ride! I’ve had mine for coming 9 years now. Only put a little under 40k miles on her in that time and 2.5k of them were moving out here. She’s really clean for her age. I’ve got an e39 M5 back in CA that needed a little more work to get sold before we moved so once that’s gone, I’m trying to decide if I want to put those funds into my e46 to do some upgrades and the occasional track day with it or if I’m going to go back to a dedicated track car (e36 if I go that route). What site did you use to buy or how did you find it?
@@christek Got it from a local guy and he ordered a lot of it off of turner Motorsports website and summit racing. He put a lot into it for sure, But yea turner and summit is where most came from. BimmerWorld is a also a good one which you probably know of. I only use my e46 for the track days since the there is a small fuel cell in it. I have toyo slicks on it also and they give me slot of confidence with grip haha.
@@dawsonparker3222 yeah, I’m familiar with all the parts websites, I just wasn’t sure if there was another track car classified ads website I needed to start following aside from racing junk and a lot of the vintage racing websites have some nice cars posted too. Sounds like you found a great car. I appreciate you sharing.
