Port Vila, Vanuatu 12 May 2023: The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) is pleased to announce that the registration date for Mi Tumoro Vanuatu (MTV) Travel Expo is still open for tourism businesses to participate and closes on the 31st of May.
“If you are a restaurant, accommodation provider, tour or transfer operator, airline or shipping company, we invite you to join us for the Mi Tumoro Vanuatu 2023,” says Martin David, VTO’s Long Haul, Emerging and Domestic Markets Manager.
Mi Tumoro Vanuatu Travel Expo was launched in 2021 in an effort to boost domestic travel throughout Vanuatu’s 83 islands during a time when international travel into Vanuatu was at a stand still.
For the first-time ever, the event provided a platform for tourism businesses to sell bookings directly to the domestic tourists but also to help get people out to places they would have otherwise not gone to.
“A total of 89 registered tourism businesses had participated in the Mi Tumoro Vanuatu Travel Expo 2021 either through in person or represented and they had reported seeing a direct impact from the Travel Expo, so we’d like more tourism businesses to join this year,” says Martin David.
Due to the positive feedback received, Mi Tumoro Vanuatu will be held again this year in Santo and Efate. Tourism businesses can register to participate in Luganville on the 9th of June as well as the MTV Port Vila event taking place on the 23rd to 24th of June. Tourism businesses with valid tourism permits and businesses licences are encouraged to register to this free event.
To register, tourism businesses can email info@vanuatu.travel to talk to the team at VTO or visit the Vanuatu Tourism Office Head Office located in the Tamarama Building opposite Jungle Cafe in Port Vila to fill out the registration form.
