How the Dublin City Council Culture Company embeds itself within Dublin
In late 2023 we asked some of our participants, partners, artists and culture makers to tell us what their work and experiences with the Culture Company has meant to them.
The result is a series of four separate videos which each highlight a part of our process in how we bring people together, find out what really matters to them and make responsive cultural projects together. We put people at the centre of this process and it is always guided by our values of Participation, Partnership, Relevance, Quality and Capacity Building.
The four videos are:
Listening and Responding
Effective Partnerships
Value of Creativity
Embedding
Thanks to Helen Barry, Una Doyle, Brian Fleming and Phil Kingston for their contributions. Filmed and edited by Motherland.

Did he quit after the Cutting Room Floor album? Seems to have deleted most of his Social Medias (IG, Twitter). Easily one of my favourite Irish musicians. Real authentic feel to his music and the interviews he's done.

I’ve just been watching you present the CZcams video ‘Guinness in the liberties walking tour’ standing outside the exquisite building structure church on Thomas and you calling the highly skilled men that took yrs to master their craft that built it “labourers” …Labourers? I will forgive you. But don’t ever call men of that time that were highly skilled plasterers and stone masons. “Labourers”

Love the history lesson. 1980 I worked on top floor of Penny's. We were called Private Collection, we made uniforms for Air Lingus Air Hostess and most government departments. When clothing manufacturers were big in Dublin, then India happened and arse fell out of the Rag trade. Dublin definitely has changed, with it our way's. Many are left behind as with all change. Sink or swim in the new Dublin. ✌️☘️

NO SURRENDER! REMEMBER 1619! WE ARE THE PEOPLE.... ULSTER PROUD.... 🇬🇬 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 Thankfully we here in Australia still retain the beautiful UNION JACK on our flag.... Symbolising the importance of British culture on our Nation... To this day..... And like Ulster always will... In 1998 we voted NO to a republic... Which left many Bolshie Irish Australians upset that we chose the QUEEN and our British culture over some move like Sinn Fein in Republicanism.., Two of our last few Prime minister's were born in The United Kingdom of Great Britain & NORTHERN IRELAND..... Thankfully the Canton of the Union Jack shall stay on our Australian flag for a long time to come.... Do Irish visitors that travel to Australia realise we are still a Constitutional MONARCHY under Queen Elizabeth II...? That we still have the union Jack on out national and every State flag.,.. 🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇬🇦🇺🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇧 Oh and God save the Queen was only replaced in the 70s But it's still out ROYAL Anthem :D God Save the Queen of Australia! And northern Ireland.... NO SURRENDER 🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬🇬 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
