Hey!! Do you have this entire show filmed by any chance? This production is phenomenal and I'd love to see the whole thing!
Sorry, but no. Just these highlights. Check my channel for other scenes and great musicals by the same school.
Love that sheriff XD
This always makes me cry.
I LOVE this part in the movie and i love this part in the play. I always loved Simon's costume.
This was the inspiration for Joseph Smith the American Moses
Wonderful interpretation of the musical. WELL DONE!!!!!! Great costuming, part orientation, dedication to choreography. WELL DONE! WELL DONE! WELLLLLLLL DONE!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!
Excellent! :D
We're ( my towns high school) is putting this play on and im in it. Im the twins.
ive got chills watching this!
where was done
hello world i loved this movie :)) !!! #runelizarun
Why did this musical have exit music? Discuss in your groups
exellent.
Favorite part in the whole show!! I was dazzled when I saw it at a local theatre.
One of the saddest scenes in the show. Love the mood change at the final "A Bit of Earth" section.
It's my show week for King and I this week! Such a great dance number
RUN ELIZA we died when we watched this in school
Wonderful production :)
I must send this to the lovely Liz, she will love it.
This is Tuptim's interpretation as pointed out below. It is also supposed to parallel the relationship between Tuptim and the King, with a bit of Lun Tha thrown in. It's not important how closely it follows Uncle Tom's Cabin. This performance is quite good - the young lady dancing Eliza has the perfect facial expressions throughout.
this is my play as well
Aryan Imran cool
Even I had it
as a Thai Person, i am very impressed with this [production, seamless flow and the costumesare very historically accurate, Bravo
I love this part of the King and I, but I was confused at why so much of the story was wrong from the actual "Uncle Tom's Cabin"
+A. Fetters It was meant to be the Siamese interpretation of the story. A sort of comedic take on how they would see it.
We must all remember the need to SELL a good Hollywood movie...factual or not. It's "show bizness".
run eliza run eliza run! lol
run eliza run eliza run! lol
This production is amazing!! Can you also upload "Shall We Dance" and others?? Would really love to see it! thanks
*** Garett ? Me ? ^)^
I want to be Eliza! Good luck to everyone in McCall Drama Club.
So anyone remind you of American Prophet Joseph from Book of Mormon the Musical.
This number is exactly what BOM creators were making fun of. :-)
what is the plot? please give a 100 word answer please.
Richard Redfern Uncle Tom's Cabin. Search it. Read it.
Congratulations to Mike Schwitter for playing PIPPIN on BROADWAY this past week at the MUSIC BOX Theater! Sometimes dreams do come true!
Well this just made my morning. There are so many reasons to love this post including the fact that those ponchos are in a plastic bin unsurprisingly labelled "ponchos" in the costumes closet as I write. Gotta love BCA forever.
YAAAAAAAY KAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@sarapaintgirl Yes it is. Although I don't know why they messed up the story. Eliza wasn't even Simon's slave. She ran from her masters the Shelbys with her son. Great read by the way.
I think given that the character Tuptim is fairly new to the English language, this is just her interpretation of the book.
ThunderbirdIV25 King Simon of Legree
Gosh, thanks so much for sharing, I had not seen this for in long time. Since my childhood, watching 'The King and I' (1979)
Gotta tell you, youtube is filled with Come Spirit numbers that are so bad it's embarrassing. This is the only one that is not only truly fantastic, it's better than the one we did, and ours was spectacular. Fine, fine job here.
Great job guys!
Very nicely done. I enjoyed this very much.
beautiful performance. The Thai would be proud
ADA boy ben
Our high school is doing this too! I'm Peggy!!
What kind of cloth/material did you use for the water effect? I am looking to create a similar effect for a production.
How come Topsey and Eva aren't slaves but Eliza is? And Buddah SAVES Eliza and then kills Eva??? That seems unfair! Eliza put herself in danger for running away...Eva was completely innocent! I DO love this ballet though! It's awesome!
Who is the female singer in this one?
So very beautiful. Nothing is more satisfying than duet harmony in perfect pitch. Please tell me what has become of these two wonderful kids and their careers.
This was AWESOME!!! My theater is doing King and I this fall and I hope our "Small House of Uncle Tom" is this good!!! It looked amazing!!
great voice! please tell me you want to pursue musical theatre in the future!
What beautiful voices! Technically gorgeous. I just have to say that whoever coached them - kudos. Just a suggestion, the the vowel on words like "alone" sound a bit affected. ... a Just wonderful. Can't wait to hear these talented young men sing this when they are older. Really, this is beautifully done...and, seriously - whoever coached them did a fabulous job. Two very talented young men.
yup, i have to do this play. im one of the beginning siamese ladies and then im one of the bloodhounds so.... yeah i have an embarrassing part XDDD
