What reverb is used if any?
Ah, that’s the other module in my rack, it’s the FX Aid XL with the black hole reverb algorithm.
@@ProfessorSynth THX
What extra/other brand modulars do you have in your system?
I have a Vermona qmi2 midi to cv converter, a Vermona Melodicer, a Ladik sample and hold, a Ladik dual slew limiter, a Doepfer clock divider, and a Ladik dual quantiser. None of these were used first the dum machine apart from the midi to cv converter, the rest is all Behringer System 55. Thanks for listening.
@@ProfessorSynth Wonderfull Professor Synth; THX very much this helps - I will source the Vermona qmi2 midi to cv converter (and other devicesmnetioned by you) - you answered my main question very well & THX ("a Vermona Melodicer, a Ladik sample and hold, a Ladik dual slew limiter, a Doepfer clock divider, and a Ladik dual quantiser. None of these were used first the dum machine apart from the midi to cv converter, the rest is all Behringer System 55. Thanks for listening.".
The reason being I liked the sonic aestheic a lot and now now I understand what else was involved in the sound itself (none other that the SYS55) and whatever you used to built the track/extra's not used. Am I correct that NO reverb/delay and NO compression was used in making the recording (meaning this is the raw synth/drum sound tha YOU made only?)? THX in advance. Would welcome a patch sheet of it - just perfecty made by you and it has HUDGE application potential - THX for sharing.
@@aemilpeters5644 happy to help
yep, that is one very large drum machine, Rob!
😁
cool cheeky vibe :)
Cheers Tim 😁
@@ProfessorSynth your welcome
Ayo whats that 👀
fun, uplifting groove......
Thanks Will. What else to do on a wet and cloudy afternoon? Still waiting for summer to arrive here in UK
Here in Canada too.....Mid June and it's cloudy and cold almost every day. (my wife and I sleep outside in the garden, in a gazebo - all summer - still less than 10 degrees each morning......)
yes it is :)
Quite lovely and rich :)
Thanks Tim 👍
@@ProfessorSynth your welcome Rob
Sounds awesome, makes me wanna build a patch with my modular myself tomorrow :)
Go for it! Thanks for listening
Yeah, inspirational :)
Beautiful!
Thank you for listening
Lovely!!! 😍🌹 xxxx!
Thank you, much appreciated
Thank You!
Cool vibe, (you are in the UK then :)
Thanks Tim. Oh yes, I am in Kent 😁
Gorgeous summertime vibe, love this 👏
Thanks for listening Paul
My kind of tranquil ✨😎✨

Beautiful rich tones, great composition :) (oh is this your garden?)
Thanks Tim. Yes had a load of foxgloves self seed and thought they looked stunning.
@@ProfessorSynth nice and colourful
lovely...................uplighting and playful
Thanks Will
Any chance for a tutorial? To replicate it on vst? Thx
Very nice. By the way where was this filmed - looks a good place to visit?
Thanks for listening. This was filmed at Rochester castle in Kent.
Great rich tones, cool piece :)
Thanks for listening Tim 👍
nice
Thanks for listening
cool vibe and smooth tones great jam :) (could I hear some subtle percussion? if so could I ask what module is providing it?)
Thanks Tim. The drums were from a Korg Volca Sample.
Love your music and videos. I apologize for the rather crude drawing I've linked but is this how you wired the modules? drive.google.com/file/d/1YOxM5VKuj0Frq9ao6oJBfGAeQsM_w3lr/view?usp=share_link
is it worth $1,600 + patch cables
Well if you made a system with 38 modules, 2 cases and 2 heavy duty power supplies it would probably cost $5000 - $6000 or more so I would say yes. Thanks for listening.
Professor Jalfezi, you spoil us with the beautiful drifting sounds.
Thank you Nige 😁
a really massive and complex sound..........slowly unfolding, in waves.....awesome........
Thanks Will. Sounds great with the IEMs cranked up.
I'll bet......and I find that - because the IEMs block out so much external noise, you can even listen quieter sometimes (to prevent ear fatigue) and yet still hear every detail.....(my wife hates it when I'm doing audio editing with mine in, and I don't hear the phone ring - only 2 feet from me, and she has to come and answer it......)
cool rich tone nice movement
Thanks Tim
Nice tones. Cheers
Thank you
that's professional drone~catch you later! Rob! 📢
Thank you
nice drone setup, Rob 🙂👍
Thanks for the inspiration Andy

Thank you 😁
neat, well cool.
Thanks Tim.
it's good to see modular being used for stuff like this again, Rob nice one 🙂👍
Cheers mate
this is a stripped back beautiful piece.
Thanks Tim
Rob, Although the system 55 has caught my eye I've been wary of getting into modular because the majority of videos I see are people just making endless noise. It's nice to hear music and the possibilties that a modular offers.
Thank you. The System 55 (or 15 or 35) are a very good value way of getting into modular, probably around a third of the cost of buying the modules from other vendors which is why I thought I would try it. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. I find it promotes a creativity that “conventional” synthesisers don’t seem to. Thanks again for listening.
What reverb processor & wat MIDI to quad CV/gate, etc., was involved?
The reverb is the FX Aid XL with the black hole reverb. The midi to CV converter is the Vermona qMI2. Thanks for listening.
a temple for innovation;-)
Hi Rob, thanks for posting. The trace cut @ 1:56 is hard to see but are you referring to the trace posted @ 1:50 at 10:00 at the beginning of sentence?
Yes, sorry the image is not so clear. Yes, it’s the trace referred to in the text at 1.50. Hope you manage to do the modification OK but message me again if not and I will try to make it more clear.
One more Modular nice to have❤❤
This is great! very relaxing. How are you triggering the envelopes? I notoced you do no use the V to S interface?
Thanks for listening. I have made some V Trig to S Trig converter cables as shown in one of my previous videos. This means I can bypass the interface altogether.
@@ProfessorSynth I will watch that video, thanks a lot.
Beautiful rich smooth tones. Cool piece of music. (some serious looking patching going on)
Thanks for listening Tim. It looks more complicated than it is. There is a lot of repetition for the four voices.
Nice tones. What does it sound like without the reverb? Cheers
Terrible 😁
@@ProfessorSynth Thank God for ambience. Thanks Rob. Cheers
Nice!
Thank you 😁
Really good groove and sounds. Keep the grooves coming.
Cheers mate 👍
Lovely
Thanks for listening
Thats a beautiful patch bro :)
Thanks for listening 👍
Hey Rob. I came up with this exact same circuit idea about 2 years ago. The difference is, I decoupled the second half of the jacks and made 2 sets of 1 V trig in and 3 S trigs out. Back then, after a couple of months the transistor died in the first circuit I made. I thought I might be overloading it so instead I placed a transistor in each of the output jacks and summed them to the input (the second circuit with the single transistor still works to this day though I don't use it anymore). Then it occurred to me - why go through all this trouble when I can simply mod the inputs to the 911s and make them work with V trig? So I did, and that saved me some space on the rack and a couple of patch cords.
Hi, thanks for the comment. I did consider modifying the 911 but it looked like it might be too tricky given that it’s all SMD . I would be interested to see details of your modification. Rob
neat. how? Sample and hold? although doesn't sound like S+H
I have added some notes in the description. Thanks for listening.
How was this sequenced? Sample and hold? If so, what was the voltage source?
I am wondering this.
I have added some notes in the description. Thanks for listening.
@@DisciplinedCommotion Ah, perfect, thanks! I was hoping to replicate it .I just got the Metropolix and I might be able to figure out something.
Why replicate it when you can make up your own thing?
