Like this one made it easy enough for me and my family to use as a craft for our annual family reunion where we do one craft every year as a family.

These are so neat. I wonder if i were to put a small bead between each stick, basically to extend 50 sticks out further, if it would still function like yours does? I mean is its function dependant on the sticks being a solid curve? Imma try it! 😊 Thank you for inspiring me today. Be well friend 😁

With punch kits I have done I used the reverse as the display side... and I would have filled the spaces between the colours. I bought 2 of this year's, 2023, Christmas Coaster Kit. Sadly both punch needles broke at the pointy end before my coasters were complete. On those it was definitely the underside that was the display side. I did ring Kmart but when I took them back I was told I needed to return even the coasters that I had finished as well as the half done ones!!!! I was completing each colour through all six of the coasters.... not willing to do that.... I am in the process of trying to buy a replacement fine punch needle as these kits are on linen with embroidery thread rather than the thicker cross stitch fabric. I live in the sticks so might have to wait until I get to a town that has Spotlight or similar... and keep my coasters until next year 😀

Just a tip for anyone trying to tie off the doily and keep tension on the string: instead of twisting the string around itself once like a normal granny knot, twist it around another once or twice, then when pulled tight, the extra friction will keep the string taught and you can finish the knot off without having to worry about the tension being lost. just got one of these. the instructions seemed like they'd been badly translated from another language and the yarn snapped twice and one of the threaders broke the first time I tried to thread it (this is in nz and the contents of the pack look different to yours)

I don't know how many videos I've watched trying to learn how to make a poppy but I've picked up more helpful tips watching your video. Fundamentally how to hold the yarn properly in my left hand. Working with the black yarn is a challenge. Lol

I picked these up recently and was SO clueless, having a video guide definitely helps. I've seen some of their craft products ship with a link to a video like yours (made by Kmart of course) and I'm surprised this one doesn't. I'm 23 and struggled with understanding, I can imagine kids doing this but not without potential tears if they don't get it :(

Looks more like a leaf to my eye, but in the early stage before cutting I think you could make a butterfly out of it. Maybe even use alternate coloured cord. Very nifty, thanks for the idea.

The dishwashing liquid looks pretty amazing. But then the oil is really good as well. I wonder if something like food colouring would do anything interesting? Anyway, thanks for the insight.

Nice work Chris. I think I like the fireflies the best. I think if the lights had a blinking mode it would make it extra cool as well. Maybe even mix and match all three onto one jar could be interesting. Thanks for sharing.
