Manta Scuba brought us to three dive sites on 12/5/2019, the last dive was this site where we jumped off the boat into the Pacific Ocean and climbed onto the boat from the Sea of Cortez. The shipwreck was one from long ago but it was right at the conversion between the two bodies of water.

Saw this countertop paint online and decided to give it a try. Turned out GREAT, if you ask me. Now to test the durability. Also put in a back splash behind the sink.

You missed out some of the most beautiful spots in the entire Caribbean for fear of pirates? Isla Margarita, La Blanquilla, Puerto la Cruz, Tortuga, Los Roques, Las Aves.....Los Roques alone is worth it.

Matthew Fitch - Highly recommended- it looks the same now as it did when we applied it. In fact, we are moving into a new boat soon and are already planning on where we are going to use it again.

Your supposed to have life rafts checked every 5 years
As an absolute maximum- yes. It is different for each brand. For instance, the Revere Offshore 2.0 has a reinspect date of 3 years. This DBC had an annual requirement. However, 5 years is the absolute maximum you should wait since the survival gear inside usually expires at 5 years. In our case, the life raft was already long overdue when we bought the boat.
Yeah, we just flip our fenders up too on our 473 when we go for a short sail. How do you catch your drone with the stern closed up?
Bill- typically we run with the back unzipped and rolled up so one of us will stand on the back and catch it. If necessary we will heave to but typically we only bring the drone out in light winds so landing is quite simple.
A bit confused as to your choice of music and the lack of a clear point.
Warren Fraser thanks for your opinion- figured a picture was worth a thousand words. Apparently not in this case- even though most got it. Will adjust on the next one. Point is- feathering props typically work best at reducing drag when the transmission is placed in gear.
could you elaborate?. Whats your suggestion?
Claas R when you have an auto-feathering prop on your boat your transmission should be placed in reverse while under sail to prevent drag.
Does the same go for folding props?
Chris W- I would defer to the owners manual. People engineer things all different ways. Saying that- every owners manual for a folding prop that I have seen says your transmission should be placed in reverse while under sail. You want to prevent any spin which can result in the centrifugal force to open up your blades.
