I'd suggest looking at the cowl tag for the build plant . Possibly has build sheet under back seat or behind the door panel although front seat is where some plants put them so that would be out of luck if so. Although most indications show (Malibu sweep dash, yellow front marker lights, you said it had 10 bolt before swapping to 12) non super sport from new but nothing wrong with a clone without trying to pass it on as legit.

I just got a 70 glider needing some bodywork but good bones for the most part. Getting 454, turbo 400 ready for install after I restore the frame. Always was my dream car since early 80's . I should have bought one in 88 but I thought they were high priced then..... lol

Teach em right with outdated wrenches 👍👍 I bought my step son a 70 Chevelle to fix up and drive when he was 14. He vacuumed it out after removing all the seats then never touched it again. Zero interest but boy were his friends jealous. After two years I sold it. Should have kept it.

I know I am late to this and you might have figured it out by now, but that console is from a 68-69 Impala/Caprice. It is bigger than than what would of come in Chevelle's, but would probably still work. I had one I was going to use in a Chevelle as well until I found a correct one.

🤣🤣🤣 I worked with the power company and before I was an overhead lineman I was on a terminating truck where I did a lot of underground cable splicing and I couldn't tell you how many times I did something like that! Once it on an underground primary cable where it came down the pole and fed a padmount transformer and I didn't slide the flood seal over the splice and when the guy in the bucket truck went to throw in the fuse link he got his ears rung 😂
