Oh, my heart! I used to work as a nursery nurse and while I’m glad I never saw this kind of stuff I still always feel when babies aren’t able to go home right away! God is good in making sure our little ones have a long and happy life to live

I’ve never had a miscarriage, as far as I know. There’s the possibility I had a missed miscarriage early summer 2023 but I let someone talk me out of getting it confirmed as a miscarriage (I didn’t know missed miscarriages happen as much as they do but it’s scary to think it could have happened to me so I tend to block it out). But I’ll never forget the feeling of my baby boy’s tiny little feet sliding out of me as the doctor retrieved him from my womb during the c-section. I sighed a sigh that was like no other. Not the slow, relaxed kind. The kind you hear when someone finally hears good results after anticipating bad ones. The kind you hear from an owner after a lost pet is found safe and sound. The kind that you hear from a mother when her daughter announces her pregnancy. I sighed that big sigh then heard my baby’s cry and started sobbing. Unintentionally, and almost subconsciously, I started saying, “I can’t see him! I can’t see him! Where’s my baby? Let me see my baby!” Then I received him during recovery and didn’t want to put him down. And I still don’t want to. He’s 3 weeks old now 💙🩵💙🩵
