I really enjoyed the build a lot. In particular your attention to creating the reflectors for the taillights I thought was outstanding. Two I don't want to call them criticisms because it's more just a different way of doing things next time you wish to try and replicate that clear dashboard covering you might want to consider self-leveling clear epoxy resin. And another thought on the front fender marker lights would be to do a latex mold of the molded in light and then cast that in clear resin. It will end up being more in scale. I need to get one of these so that I can build a replica of an American racing version.
Hi Jim, Thanks so much for your appreciation and thoughtful advice. I'm always looking for ways to improve, and yo could be one of those people that could steer me to that goal. Do keep in touch and please comment on any future videos I post, as you sound like a well seasoned modeller that I could learn a lot from. I'm soon to be posting a build of a 1:43 Porsche 928 from Heller. Keep an eye out ;) Rich
@@72carrotcarclassics27 thank you for your kind words and I look forward to sing more videos that you post. Hopefully I'll start posting some things of my bills too.
Thanks for the tip for the rear lights. I've made the same on my model and it change amazingly the result !
RIP McRae 🙏🏻👍🏻
Amazing work. One question, ok, you check the original vía Google earth bit, how do you scale to i.e. 1:64? Thanks
Thank you for the compliment. I'm not sure what you mean by checking Google Earth and scaling to 1:64th scale? Please explain what you mean so I can respond, if I can ;)
@@72carrotcarclassics27 Thanks. I mean, you take a picture from Google... and to scale a facade to 1:64, you should know real size, correct? How do you do it? I hope you understamd my quuestion. Thanks
Hi Miguel, that sounds like a brilliant idea. Unfortunately I don’t have the skills to know what I’m doing if I were to try. Sorry I can’t answer your question but check CZcams to see if someone has a tutorial on it. Good luck 🤞🏽
This is a great build. I've build 2 of them myself but they are build the simple way. This is inspiring❤
Thank you for the compliment. Spending extra time building them gives a greater reward creating things that don't exist in the kit. I hope it inspires you to do the same!
Thanks for the compliment! It's always good to hear that you got something out of watching my video. Now to put it to practice. good luck and happy modelling😀
Really like how you did the wheels and tires. The grit in the tread with the shinny sidewalls looks perfect.
Glad you liked it!! Now it’s your turn😅. I look up to you as a modeller. I love the style of models you choose to make. You are creating models from thinking out of the box and I admire that👍🏽. We will go far if we keep at it😉
I'm gonna sub you
Sorry for thew late reply. I responded on my phone but it doesn't seem to register. Thank you for the compliment. I hope it inspires you to keep modelling ;)
Maybe it did as I can see now!

The sawdust technique is genius, great vid!!
Thank you! It what happens when you're cheap and don't want to spend extra cash ;). Try it out when you get a chance! Dead simple!
Love the rear tail lights 😍
Thanks for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed it 😃
Loved it. Gleaned a ton of new tips as I’m new to this scale. Not a lot of aftermarket help as in 1/24th .
I'm glad you found it useful. Good luck with your project👍

Talent and thought evident. Thank you for your candor. Mistakes will happen. I, too, have yet to build a perfect model.
that in September 2021 you post a video on youtube at 480p is a crime
😂 Thanks!
That taillights tip is awesome. I'm working on an NSX NA2 but, this is a die cast metal 1/18 scale model. It has exactly the same undetailed tailights and the problem is, it's made of metal so it's not as easy to work as plastic 😞, I'm guilty because it's a problem I got myself alone into it 🤪. I've doing some things like chassis detailing and of course model is far from finish.
Thanks for the compliment. I hope you find it useful. I've never worked with metal so can't give you any tips on how to handle that. If you have a Dremel, try going to a DIY store and see if they have drill bits specifically for metal. I have a few metal kits but have not made them. The metal on my kits seems softer than regular metal, not sure if that's the same for die cast models...probably not! As long as you can create a slight curve, this will help the natural light bounce off the angles to give the light depth. Maybe don't drill right through the metal for the bulbs but make a pilot hole, then you can use the plastic sprue idea to glue to the metal. Good luck ;)
Amazing build i really like the tail light and valve stream details.
Thanks a lot. Appreciate the comments 👍

That's cool! I'm about to start that same kit myself :) Still wondering whether I paint it white or silver...
Thanks, it will look great in either colour. It's a nice kit to build. Enjoy!
Love what you have done here. The tail lights an the valve stems are such a huge difference in the overall look of the kit. Awesome work.
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate the comments.
great video
Thanks very much!
looks so real
Thanks!
Hello, how are you doin? I stumble upon your channel, you look quite skilled in painting those models! 1/43 scale is seldom considered for youtube content, so I think the idea behind your channel is quite promising, don't give up! Mind a little question? Do you think these 1/43 model are suitable for a novice? I only assembled and painted ONE 1/24 tamiya model kit, d'you think 1/43 will give me a harder time?
Thank you for your kind words. These models are made for novices as they contain few parts. It's what you want to do with those parts that will make a difference. If you like scratch building there is a big reward. I'm all for realism so having to create details out of nothing is a challenge I like. Models are what you make it, easy detail or hard, the good thing is you can pick 1:43 scale models up from Ebay for around £6. Try one and let me know how you do.
