I was so inspired by Jimmy, I started a magazine for bass players and followed the Jackets around California interviewing Jimmy & all the other greats (Rocco, Jack Casady, et al ) throughout the 90s. ARC is still the most significant harmonic masterpieces I can think of. Get you some "Hanna's House" ! Someone swiped my strap with Jimmy and Will's autograph. That still bothers me. It's interesting about fame, it's not usually something a celebrity ca create. Your mother was on the verge of Fame, the Wizard of Oz, other movies, her concerts and TV. I think I heard you say that you didn't or realize, until some fans, were rocking the car you were in, and the Beatles became so popular. Also with Liza, she started young with your Mom's TV show, other TV, Winning a Tony at 19. Cabaret was her star making, internationally everyone loved her. she may have hit Zenith with that, yet did so many concerts, live appearances, and T Van some more films. I hink Fame has positive and negative ,especially losing much of you privacy. Your right about Today and so many people are seeking Fame without really doing anything. I see so many people on Facebook, all making videos etc. to be famous,.,,,

Hi Terry and Lorna! I've been a fan of your Mom's since age 5,and I saw her on TV in The Wizard of Oz. She is an extraordinary talent with a wonderful and unique voice. I am so pleased that you continue to carry out her legacy in so many ways. The fragrance is nice, I hesitated to get it I'm a guy and I don't even wear colognes as most irritate me. I did try a sample, as I didn't want open up the bottle. I sort have followed since I saw sing on the TV, in the 1970's,when I was 17. I've seen off-Broadway, met you at film showing your Mom's and book signing in SF. The last I saw you live was in 2003,performing Songs My Mother taught at a casino in CT. Entertaining show. Now I see on the computer. I feel being a child with your addiction. And losing her when you 17. My alcoholic died when I was 17. Heartbreaking. My had been broken before this and divorce and other stuff. It has taken many of therapy, support group,,and other things. I believe when you said, about loving your Mom, how your mom loved you. I feel the same try focus that and good times we had. I am so glad you found happiness with your husband and family. You continue to have a career.

Great interview Terry and Thank you to Lee for such beautiful music over all these years! I was listening to an inteview with Boz Scaggs, who also lost his home and so many memories to a fire in California. Even the loss of seemingly little things, like a night-lite or a lyric sheet or a family picture (that is part of a life) that is now gone is heart breaking. Happy that Lee and his family are moving forward are all safe!

Re: Mr. Lynn. I feel the same about my piano teacher. When I asked permission to call her Laura, at the moment I was no longer a student. I found out there was nothing she wanted more. She has long since passed on, but her lessons are not forgotten. They will live forever.

Awesome interview! Lee is my all time favorite Jazz artist. His stretch of work from the mid 80’s to mid 90’s is unparalleled in the genre. And the joy he plays with live is second to none. Just a remarkable talent.

I'm primarily a rock player who always knew of Lee but never knew much at all about his career. I've been getting into him lately, that's why I'm here. What a monster musician and player. I've got a lot of catching up to do.

I don't have the time to listen to an hour or longer interview, but the thrust of any such Q and A with an artist that most folks, music lovers, rock/funk lovers, guitar players really don't know much about, if they have ever even heard a recording of......is all about what notable recordings he played on that the folks can relate to. For instance, we did not realize that Lee played the scale oriented solo in The Brothers Johnson Strawberry Letter Motown/Funk hit from the 70's; nor do most folk know that Lee played on one or two Steely Dan tracks and albums. Which ones were they? Many of us know Lee from the great jazz-rock-fusion era in the 80's where music was breaking out and becoming quite creative in both NYC and LA....what I would refer to as the Dave Grusin era. Many of us saw Lee live back then with his concerts....many of us also knew Lee to be the first guitar player to perform with Four Play....before Carlton and Loeb. He was the guy that made that ensemble happen and click musically from the axe perspective. We'd love to get some more meaningful kind of musicians' questions posed to Lee about his technique, his influences, his musical studies, his likes and dislikes in the musical world, his favorite equipment, pedals, amps, etc. Too much of what you and others put on the Tube is of no consequence or import to us, those who love and appreciate and spend on musical entertainment. We'd like to have some folks who understand the subject matter they interview before wasting valuable air time in cyberspace. At any rate, will stop the bloviation there. Hope to listen to this, one of many, recent interviews that Ritenour is doing all over the Internet, with every Tom, Dick, Harry and industry shill there is.

I have analyzed and realized that your CZcams channel is not progressing and improving. It is responsible for: 1. Channel videos are not properly SEO 2. Videos are not reaching the people 2. There is no rank tag in the Video 3. Video SEO score is 5 out of 100 but SEO score should be 90+ to rank video 5. Channels tags not good quality 6. No video tag and other technical problems

I saw the Austin Powers movies in the theatres when they were first released, and Mindy's portrayal of Frau Farbissina still has me in stitches to this day. When I first saw the movie I immediately correlated her character to Rosa Klebb from the James Bond movie "From Russia With Love". I'm going to watch both the Austin Powers and James Bond movies again now 😊.
