So if you put water in them, the fridge would start after 8-10 hours? Then run for how long? I like the idea of owning an Engel but the sound tests that I see are not encouraging. I will be sleeping in the same space as the fridge. And having it run/stop during the night sounds like torture.

I have had 2x sets of KO2's. I live in the wettest part of Australia. I find them no good on the wet blacktop. They just can't spit the water out and I find they aquaplane heaps.

Been running BFG KO2’s since 2015 - never looked back , and I still have that 2015 model spare tire never had to use it. Recently bought a 2003 Tahoe, 1st thing I did was slap ko2’s all the way around- even the spare tire knowing I may never use it

6 yrs on my Ko2 and passing 60,000 on my old friends. Today I’m swapping out tires. It’s time, too much desert / volcanic rock running these days. Just hours away from my new K02 and one week away from my first road trip of the year. Love these tires !

Ko2's are the first tyre ive cared about and boy theyve done me well! 90,000km so far and id say they have about 10k left . . . 8-9years old so i should replace them soon just for the age but they have definitely sold me and i wouldnt buy anything else. Gotta say the km3's are very tempting but for my driving they just wouldnt be a good choice . . . Still very tempting tho 😜

hello I know this is an old video but the house you are looking at is from the 18th century, not the bronze age. It was owned by a tobacco farmer in the area. The brozne age site is further away, there are rock paintings and copper mining sites, as well as a ruined watch tower.

Will it affect the radiator cooling ?

I am kinda surprised that they don’t include maxtrax or similar sand boards. Also a flip down table on the kitchen side of the vehicle would be a good addition. I have a maxtrax table on side on my 78 and it’s constantly used for food prep and making of drinks.

Not a fear test at all you are a snow master fan once you open the first on their is a 5 minutes difference to test th snow master

We rented that exact same car. Picked it up in Maun, Botswana. It was delivered to us with a flat engine battery that had to be replaced ( we lost a day of rental which wasn’t refunded). Then two days into the trip discovered we had a malfunctioning fridge and dodgy wiring. TechPro refused to do anything or send out a new fridge, even though we were only in the moremi, less than a days drive from Maun. We were continually kicked under the bus by the Russian company owner. I would very much avoid renting from TechPro! Their website looks very professional but our car, and the lack of action when our fridge malfunctioned ruined our holiday. They charge absolute top dollar but don’t deliver. We spoke to a couple who had rented a car from Bushlore who also had a fridge issue. Bushlore’s dealt with it immediately plus compensated the couple with two days rent refund. We have booked our next rental with Bushlore.

We too rented from TechPro in Botswana and had a nightmare. We paid top dollar for what we thought was a rental from what looked like a very professional company, but proved to be anything but. Just checked your video, and I saw the number plate - we had the exact same car as you! You say you had electrical issues with that car, we too had massive battery, electrical and fridge issues and we were totally fobbed off and snowballed by the Russian company owner. By the way, he told me this is actually his personal car, so you can imagine what the other ones are like!. You rented the car after us, so TechPro clearly didn’t fix the issues. They DO NOT have service points all over Africa. Two years ago this car was already 'tired' with several technical issues. It was delivered to us with a flat battery, a faulty fridge and dodgy electrics. Bushlore and most of the bigger rental companies replace their vehicles every three years, TechPro doesnt. The fact that this car is still being rented out by TechPro testifies to this. TechPro totally ruined our trip by providing a poorly maintained and ageing car for which they charge 30% more than comparable companies that guarantee their cars are less than 3 years old. I understand cars have issues, but TechPro delivered a faulty car to us, and then massively dragged their feet dealing with it. Avoid TechPro, I really regret falling for their sales pitch.

Great video and good timing as well. My wife and I (I'm American and she's British) are planning on shipping our Defender and Aussie camper trailer from the UK to Capetown for a year-long adventure through the bottom third of Africa. My 80+ year old mountain goat off road rock star of a mother is planning on flying out from Yuma, Arizona with her husband to the UK and along with my best mate and his wife, meet us Windhoek to join us for 2 or 3 weeks in Namibia. My plan is have a pair of rental trucks arranged for them so once they get off their feet on the ground we can all head off to the bush so I can show her the beauty of Africa. I have looked up Tech Pro before after the series with Andrew and Paul. Amazing kit! It will be great to be able to make a loop and drop the trucks back off where we pick them up and then put them on a plane home. Cheers from up here, ice cold in Leicester!

My question is. You put 3500 on both models ! So, was it the same environment and did the KO2’s still do the job. I’m not interested in use which for which Did the KO2’s still get it done in same environment ? Yes or no ? I have a 2020 Gladiator lifted with KO2’s and a 1994 XJ not lifted with KO2’s. Firm believer in these tires. Got hooked in early 80’s in Utah on BFG AT’s. Never have I found a better tire. Toyo about same but much more expensive.

End of the day I’ll have an angle fridge any time they are the most reliable and the fridges I have I’m 64 years old and this is my 4 angle I got and I’ll think I’ll stick to angle thank you very much
