    DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS! I like @erikbrazzale6978's comment. I will have to remember that one. Reminds me of Assume = Making an A$$ out of U and me. 😏 I don't usually get trolled in my comments, but the few times I have been I tend to just ignore them, and if they are in violation of the rules I report them and block them. Problem solved. Thankfully I don't have a site where I have to worry about trolls. Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨‍🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay hydrated, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!

  • @faroironandcustoms6577

    Looking forward to the next part. So far as testing the sensor. You should be able to probe the wires and get a signal (AC) when you spin the wheel. Unless it's digital then it will be binary. The electric line of forklift the company I work for sells (Jungheinrich) is extremely fun to work on and diagnose. Like most things German, they don't make it easy. RAWK!!!!

  • @faroironandcustoms6577

    It has been a weird couple of days. Kind of under the weather and I haven't had opportunity to watch the Mini video yet. I try to answer all comments I get and even if they are disrespectful, I will say something like "Thank you for the comment!" I try not to get too wrapped up in the negative but sometimes it is hard. I think allot of people are working at a job that the management style is anxiety-based, and that has been going on since the late 90s I expect. I know the last two jobs I have had have been as such and I'm trying to find the kid that had the "F#$% You! My toolbox has wheels for a reason!" attitude. Point is I don't think people know how to communicate anymore and we don't have the social interaction where saying stupid things will get your teeth kicked in. Treating people like poop is the new norm. Anyway RAWK!!!

    Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and they usually stink. But seriously Mike keep up the good work. I just people would think before they speak. Sometimes they say something and it just puts themselves in a bad light. I have learned a lot of how to do something different than how I was taught. Sometimes a different perspective can solve or help solve an issue.

    I usually watch these car videos from what has grown out of the NNN group. Some are entertaining. Some are interesting, & some I learn some tips and tricks and skills from. Some I watch to keep in connection with some people or watch an ongoing project. I almost always scan thru the comments. Many make you smile. But the keyboard jockeys just usually make me chuckle. What an idiot who doesn't have a clue about life. Most probably never even worked on a real car, Probably still getting driven around by Mom. And have no clue what it takes to earn the real cost of a part or repair. I just feel sad if they every have kids. What lessons of life will they pass on, if any. You do good videos with good content. Never used some of the machines you now have, but it's interesting to watch. Plus my friend was my guitar teacher. I still suck at that. But it's cool to watch and enjoy others techniques and just listen to their music. I know how to fix and repair my cars & trucks. But I don't tell JMJ that he's doing something wrong. I just asked him about how he actually did a project. For those keyboard jockeys. I sometimes ask them what they drive, or better yet. I ask them what their channel is so I can learn something from them. I usually here crickets after that. Heart attacks look like they hurt. I don't take most things too serious now. Heart lung machines change your views on life. Sunrises are great. Everyone one of them counts.👍

    I hear you loud and clear. It seems that the more we try to make things easier and less idiot proof, the more of a problem they become. I think the biggest problem we are making for ourselves is this total reliance on smartphones. More and more devices are now operated by an app, and you have to have a phone to use them. Becoming reliant on tech, to be able to use tech. We have made two points of trouble out of one. Anyone who has a home mesh router or a security camera, knows exactly what I am talking about. Anyone who did anything during Covid knows that without a smartphone you couldn't do squat! Go to the doctor, please dial this number and we will let you in. Go to the store to pick up groceries, same thing. Use this app to order takeout. Do a Zoom meeting on your phone or tablet. You get the idea. We are totally relying on having this device and can't function in society without one anymore. If we ever have an EMP pulse or the magnetic poles swap. The entire world will cease to operate. What do you mean paper documentation and proof? Who has that anymore? I went paperless 15 years ago. Meanwhile, I am currently in the process of replacing my old AM/FM CD radio with an Idoing head unit that has a custom bezel for my Pontiac Vibe and has a 9" touch screen display and an Android 12 OS. I'll actually be able to add all the "fancy" features of a modern car to my 2004 Pontiac Vibe. Bluetooth 5, GPS maps, a really nice EQ for the radio, and the ability to watch video in the car if I want. It even has the ability to connect to the OBD2 and do the diagnoses like you were doing. I can even hook up a backup camera, if I buy one. I am sorely tempted, but the camera will be in the back lift gate so it is a bit of an issue figuring out how to wire it in. I am thinking I may just place it in front of the brake light in the rear window and have it look out the back window. It is higher up than the license plate frame, but a heck of a lot easier to wire in. Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨‍🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay hydrated, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!

I have gotten rid of two different vehicles because of computer problems. One, even the dealer couldn't fix. It's bullshit! Ive got a 69 amc rebel and the rockers and floors are pretty much gone. I don't belive they make replacement parts for it unfortunately. The car is a unibody. What are the best ways to reinforce the car so it doesnt break in half. Its pretty rusty and im just trying to get it safe enough to put around

    • @MyKARSShop
      @MyKARSShop Před 3 dny

      The first thing that comes to mind is subframe connectors. - you can make those out of 2 x 3 box tubing But, even though parts aren’t available for your car, if you look at the stitches, challenger build here on the channel, there’s a playlist, you can see that you can fabricate anything out of sheet metal and replace parts that are not available. That’s one of the major thrusts on the MKS channel. Why Buy something you can build? And If you can’t buy it, why not learn how to build it? On the challenger build - we fabricate frame rails out of sheet metal, and lots of other stuff that most people say can’t be done. I am also going to be building rocker panels on the Forsyth duster sometime this year… (that’s another playlist) Stick around. It’s not as hard as you think. You can save yourself a fortune by learning how to make it all yourself. Thanks for tuning in.

    I learned something new today. I never knew that the wheel and rim came apart like that in vintage cars. I know that one of the other CZcamsrs I watch a lot insists on calling wheels rims and tires /tyres casings. I am sure there is a tire definition chart somewhere that defines what each part is named. I am always trying to learn new things. It was nice to learn something new that wasn't work related. Until next time. I know what cars caught my eye growing up, but there was never a car that I said I want to own that some day. My Dad was the car guy, and we owned a LOT of different cars. I don't think he kept anything for more than 5 years, and we always had at least two vehicles, so we went through a bunch of cars as I grew up. I have certain styles I favor, and definitely things I hate. The Cybertruck I am 100% in agreement with you on. It is ugly. It isn't so much the straight line styling that makes it look all boxy, straight lines can work when used correctly, but the overall military utility feel it gives off is just off putting to me. 1. The car I grew up thinking was the coolest thing ever was KITT from Knight Rider. I just fell in love with the 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. 2. I was also a fan of the in Smokey And The Bandit 1977 Pontiac Trans Am as well. Both of these cars were my idea of a sports car growing up, and that general styling is still what I look for in a car. 3. The DeLorean from Back to the Future was another car I liked the styling of, and I sort of grew to like gullwing style doors. I also thought the Star Car from The Last Starfighter was pretty neat, I sort of wish they had made it into a real production car. I loved that it was used as a prop in Back to the Future II. 4. I also really liked the Lamborghini Countach in The Cannonball Run. I thought it was just the coolest looking car ever. I still think it is my favorite Lambo. 5. I suppose my final pick would be the Shelby GT500 that Rally drives in the anime Gunsmith Cats. That anime made that car famous and the car chase scene in the second episode is probably one of the most edge of your seat car chases ever. Go ahead and type "Gunsmith Cat's chase" in a CZcams search whenever you have 5 minutes to spare. I will also give honorable mention to the Lotus Esprit S1 Bond car "Wet Nellie". Of course since an actual Lotus doesn't transform into a submarine it loses a few marks, which is why this car isn't in the top 5. 😼 Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨‍🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay hydrated, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!

    I'm the same way, a hundred projects that all appear to never be moving forward to those around every day. Those who drop by once a month however see great progress. I've been in a hell of a funk lately though and it feels to me like I'm not getting enough done. It's really starting to eat at me though. I'm not getting enough done lately. The shops a wreck and I can't seem to get it cleaned up before im side tracked and onto another task. It's when the shop is a mess and tools aren't organized and it starts to stay that way for too long that I get really frustrated and feeling down. I don't care how many tasks I have going all at once as long as the tools are n7cely organized, once that gets out of hand I get in a gnarly dark funk and I'm right in the middle of one this very moment. Watching vids like this help pull me out of it when I see I'm not the only one. Well I better stop writing before I los3 this wind. I'm gonna blast some tunes and get things put back together!

    This is sort of what I did for 7 years, only my machine worked on wood not metal. If you want a one machine that does it all woodworking tool look up WEEKE BHX-050. A drill press, router, and groove saw, all-in-one. It also has edge drills for drilling dowel holes to join. Great for cabinet making. And it's footprint isn't much bigger than your end mill. You mainly need to leave room on each side to feed the material, so the area it takes up is mainly determined by what you are feeding through it. If you are working on a 7 ft. tall bookcase, then you need more than 7 ft. on each side. You can have it outfeed to the same side as your input if you have limited room on the right side. Your door panel, from the previous video, would be a breeze for this baby. 😼. Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨‍🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay hydrated, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!

      Yes. They make similar products for metal work as well. Some of them are under the Shopsmith name. Very cool

      That’s a good question. I’ll have to investigate that. But I think that’s correct.

    A word of caution about those Chinese mills and lathes. Some are pretty good, and some are pretty bad and most of them need enough upgrades you could buy a used full-size mill or lathe. I have jokingly said that I'm going to turn my Vevor lathe into chips on my mill when I get a decent lathe. My list of parts I want to make on my Bridgeport is getting longer. It can all be done without the Bridgeport, but the machine makes you more proficient. It is hard to relate to making a part when someone jumps on a machine that is out of their reach. But I expect quite a few people are watching for the entertainment. And if, like in my case, owning this equipment is in your bucket list you have to do whatever it takes to make it happen. I also think something might be wrong with my boring feature. I didn't catch what you did to make it work and I watched that part twice. I'm not where I can get to mine right now, or I would go out and play with it. RAWK!!!!

    Dad made a creeper type thingy that we would use to push heavy stuff around with. It usually got delegated to either having bags of potting soil and large ceramic pots on it, or used to move the shop vac after it's base got broken. I also think he used it when putting a door on a car once. It had locking wheels so we never worried about stepping on it and having an accident, but I can count on one hand the number of times I actually saw it being used as a creeper for under cat work. I actually am more afraid of skateboards than creepers. Those things were a menace to every student at every school anywhere! Until next time. Both of the doors you show at around 11:30 are two toned, with that trim strip you were talking about adding. I sort of like the idea of two toned panels. You could also make the armrests two toned. I think a dark grey, or even a black, maybe with red stitching to match the car color. It isn't adding much to the overall cost. I am not sure what your plans are for the seats. They are currently light grey and dark grey, so you could match them. Just tossing out some ideas. Can't wait to see the finished product. Until next time. Make it Safe, Make it Done, 👨‍🔧&🚘 Go Have Fun❣ Stay hydrated, safe, and healthy. 🤟RAWK!

      Receipts are the seats. Nothing will be done with them. Thanks for your suggestions on the door panels.
