Wire crimp was falling off routinely. Customer did not want wires soldered to speaker terminals. Two terminals were weak so I had to use the 2 inner ones covered in solder which would not allow crimp to slide on. www.rocknrollamps.com #guitaramp

I learned allot over the years watching Jeff Beck play. Some of his techniques are used on this recording. 1996 Fender American Strat set up in Jeff Beck style with floating bridge, roller nut. The pedal was purchased. It gets a thumbs up from me.

Here I get to play through an original Univox Super Fuzz. Definitely brings back sounds of rock past. Sg Standard 61 Reissue in to Rocknroll amps shop amp like JTM45. Output to 412 Marshall cabinet with Celestion G12-65. Mic is a Sennheiser E609. Recorded in Studio One. A bit of analogue delay added to lead guitar. Drum track from youtube. No comments? This is def sounding like one of the better Dumble clones I've heard, and I've heard a lot. You got the harmonic content thing many miss. What'd you use for a schematic?

Good to hear "Safety first". That little bias adjustment made the amp sound fuller and clearer. Great stuff!
I would have replaced all of them with F&T. I know the one that was replaced would be OK but it is a cheap cap so best change it and know the repair will have a decent lifespan.
@@rgbplumbinghilton You are incorrect. The cap you said "is a cheap cap" is not a cheap cap. It is in fact an F&T brand cap that was installed only a couple of years ago.
@@rocknrollampsI couldn't see that from the video. In that case, they should have all been changed a couple of years ago!
Easy for you to say if you aren't paying the bill. It is always up to the customer.
@@rocknrollamps yeah I get that, but here you are again stripping the amp due to cap fault, probably the same as it had last time. Shitty caps are just that and I would change them for cost to get the out!

The Captor X going direct and the IR is making a big difference in the sound as opposed to the stock internal 12 inch speaker, had you just miced it up. It sounds great, really great. However, this is more of a recording situation than a live situation.
Love the tone, you dialed in an Eric Johnson tone in places.

Crappy corner-cutting lazy design. I’m currently converting one that came in my shop to handwired chassis mount tube sockets for that very reason. Came in with arcing on a tube socket board trace causing it to blow fuses.

...and "Yes" he does build great gear, starts on a solid clean sound foundation and gets the most out of the EQ. I like the emphasis on "Tone" rather than too many gizmos cos we have the widest choice of Effect pedals available to us but to get them working properly you need a good clean foundation and the EQ will help the amp work better in different room sizes and situations. Better build quality than this does'nt exist "off the shelf" anymore .

I am very happy with mine( 2X6L6 + reverb), had it for almost 8 months and it sounds better every-time I switch-on. I like the 4x6V6 tone, that's like 2 deluxe reverbs in 1 box. Great stuff!
