There is one way to tell if what you see inside your doll is glass beads or sand. Glass beads have a lot if sparkle and sand has very little sparkle regardless of color. It can be brown or white and it will sparkle a lot if it’s glass.

El trato que le das al muñeco no me gusta Más que montar el muñeco parece que lo estabas desalmado un meneo frutal le das al muñeco la pintura sufre de echo te puedes llevarte la pintura la manera fuerte y bruta que lo almas al muñeco yo desde luego no te compraría un muñeco el trato tan mal que le das pintado muy bien me gusta que yo también los pinto y pintado me gusta pero el trato montado al muñeco cero no me gusta hay que hacerlo con más delicadeza son piezas muy delicadas sobre todo la pintura ya pintados

Watched several of your awesome videos. I am trying to fix a reborn toddler that had sand in her toes and hands and had not been weighted at all. We have complained to the doll maker several times about our doll head being too heavy, falling off and a never being able to sit up. Our granddaughter loves her so I am trying to fix her myself. I paid $350 for this doll with other issues like her hair wig coming off and the zip ties scratching you. The maker is refusing to make it right without charging us more. The doll was given to her as a Christmas gift in 2022 when she was six. This is not a collectible, it was suppose to be played with. Can you tell me the size of your glass beads, where you get them and the narrow zip ties please?

Hi there! Why cant I open up the stitching on the back to weight it? This is for my personal, not selling it. CAN it he done?
Restitching or sewing the whole back up would take a heck of a long time rather than minutes and a few cheap new zip ties. She also is right to remove those God awfully large "wrong type" of zip ties. Also usually re weighting is done in the limbs which you cannot re weight without removing the limbs

How much dose she way in total? Alot of baby's I see are like 5 lb but a baby is like 8 lb
Oh aprintly its just that MY baby's were all 8 lb witch is the high side of average. I'm getting a reborn in a few days who is 3-5 pounds (second hand and not sure how much) I want to add more to get to that 8 lb size but now I don't know if that much will fit in the baby
The thing you need to remember is that there is a big difference between a real baby at 8 lbs and a doll at 8 lbs. A real baby’s weight is eventually distributed throughout their body and a doll at 8 lbs is just dead weight. For instance if you hold an 8 lb barbell it will feel a lot heavier than an 8 lb infant. Keep that in mind. When I weight a doll I make sure the both arms weigh the same and both legs weigh the same and I make sure the head doesn’t out weigh the body. I make the bag of beads in their butt weigh the same as the bag of beads in their head. If the bag of beads is too heavy for their head then it’s too heavy for their butt. This way the weight is more evenly distributed which makes them feel more like a real baby. Also you want just the right amount of stuffing so you don’t feel the bags of beads in their body but also that the body isn’t over stuffed. You want the doll to melt into your arms for the perfect cuddle but not be too floppy. Babies do have some control over their backs and necks. Hope this helps 😊

There are several websites that sell doll supplies www.Macphersonscrafts.com, www.Irresistibles.com, www.bountyfulbaby.com You just need to know the kit size, all of these have the bodies listed by the kit size.

If the doll is full silicone you can’t change the weight. They are solid so there is nowhere to add weight. If it’s a partial silicone doll (head, arms and legs silicone with a cloth body) then you can re stuff and weight the body only.
Hey, can you do this when the body is also silicone?
This doll isn’t silicone it’s vinyl. Silicone is solid so you can’t put anything inside it.

I ordered mine through Etsy, but the sites she mentioned are best too. I found it near impossible to find the ideal size and length in stores. The ones at the store have giant locked ends that stick out like the ones she's replacing

The glass beads I get from EBay. I never use sand. I use fine glass beads in the limbs and the larger glass beads in the head and body.

Don't listen to what others think of your babies, if they make you happy that is all that matters. I also have a lot of dolls, along with a whole bunch of baby clothes and I love all my dolls, they make me feel happy. I have always love dolls ever since I was little and I started my doll collection right after the pandemic started. I have one reborn doll, my other little babies are Ashton Drake dolls. I also have Adora dolls and Gotz dolls, along with Disney and barbie dolls too, oh and my BTS dolls 🙂 And I also have bigger dolls that are called master piece dolls. I know that my family properly thinks I went a little over board with my doll collection, but I don't let it bother me because I enjoy all my dolls 🥰

It’s a small pair of scissors. I have been using them for 5 years and o have never scratched anything. If you don’t know what you are doing even a tiny pair of scissors could scratch the paint. 😁

Thank you for this video, it was very nice to hear t his, I am 30 years old and really want a child, whereas my partner doesn’t. I bought a few reborn dolls and my partner and my family thought I have lost my mind, they just cannot understand it, but I find a lot of comfort in my dolls they do soothe me when I am feeling agitated and just generally brings me joy. Are those glass beads? What are the two different sizes? How do I know what to order?
Yes they are glass. It’s sand blasting materials. You can find them at most tool stores. I’m not sure if the actual sizes. I just know them by sight. The fine beads look like white sand. The other is just big enough that it won’t sift through the nylons.
