Sold it back..couldn't fix it..kept telling me I was crazy even though I could prove others were have same issue..I also took them to court for lemon law..they paid me $4500..lol

Remove the bendix...the bending just pulls straight out..there is a bearing in the back so make sure that is still there before u reinstall it..there are other videos on how to replace the Bendix..I was supposed to put the how to replace but the video was lost..

You need to have an alignment and they need to reset the computer..hopefully yours will go away for good..

I had to mark them with permanent marker..1 ..2 and 3 ..at both ends of the wires..make sure you take a picture of the front wiring before u unplug it

I am not aware of any ..I have sense sold my renegade as Chrysler was not helping solve the issue....so I traded it in for a Hyundai Accent amd bought a 1995 4Runner 5spd Manual 4x4 to play in..

So I contacted the dealer in the area I was in and they asked me to let it sit for a few hours to allow it to reset. It worked. I haven’t had it happen to me again at this point. Note: I was driving in sand mode on the beach when this happened to me.

@@jmiller9123 the first dealer I took my jeep to reset mine 4 times in a 1 year period..it lasted average of 3 months b4 it would happen again..

I was really tired that day..makes for a good laugh and ppl are happy..lol

Have you ever done any work to a 450 sportsman for over heating issues? Along with starter and bendix issues mine over heats like crazy. Years ago a friend of mine thought the fan was messed up so he cut the plug off and put an aftermarket fan on and wired it direct. That just drained my battery. I have since rewired the plug but still have issues with over heating

Yes I replaced the Bendix about 3 wks later with the new starter they came as a package...Starter and Bendix off ebay

Yes I had to cut about 1/8 off the rear yoke with a dremmel and it slid off very easy..I will try and find video of me cutting it off..
