    I like how this ends with the AI just trapping the player in an inescapable room that's slowly killing them. It could generate an exit. But it won't :)

    • @r-8009
      @r-8009 Před 10 dny

      In the original game, that particular room is not actually inescapable. If you look at the footage closely, you'll see a narrow wall section in that sludge pit that is slightly discolored (lighter in value) all the way from the floor to the ceiling. It's a secret door that permits escape from the toxic sludge. I kept expecting the person playing to eventually go for it, mostly as a test to see if the AI knew there was supposed to be a secret door there. But the player never investigated. So for all we know, the AI knew there was a way out of that hole and the player didn't.

    Is there any way to play this or is that all just kinda locked up? Also is the ... i guess movement/control really bad? The person seemed to have a lot of trouble just kinda moving at all, or is that just some weird side effect of how this works? The movement seemed almost kinda timid and unconfident, like someone playing with only keyboard and lack of familiarity with the game. I guess it'd make sense if this had keyboard-only movement since that would be a simpler input than a mouse. I wonder if also it's not as real-time as it appears and it's just getting kinda broad commands that occur over several frames until the next command can be processed and you're not necessarily getting the result you intended.

      they should just make realistic graphics with AI from primitives in realtime. and make rasterization in games obsolete (it should be used just for primitive graphics for AI reference). GPUs of the future must be just AI cores making realistic graphics from primitive graphics thats done on integrated videocard - iGPU. and maybe with NPUs we won't need GPUs at all anymore. RIP amoode and ngreedia. for realistic movie-like rasterization you need way more work to be done on games by devs with animations/level design/modelling and way more resources/rasterization speed. more GPU power essentially + VRAM (that last one can be easily fixed by connecting SSD directly to a chip like amd already does on consoles though, no long PCIe bus for DirectStorage = no huge latency problems). with AI generating a picture you don't need any of that just feed it photoshopped or even selected AI generated pictures of what you'd want to get and primitive 3d graphics so it doesn't fall apart and everything stays/generates where it should be + a description of whats going on. thats it. that would enable anyone to make their own REALISTIC-looking movie-like-quality games (or movies). RIP big game studios and hollywood. ngreedia is going to add AI generated objects in DLSS 4. its how they'd milk this tech. there's 0 technical reasons to not generate the whole complete frame with AI making graphics completely realistic and movie-like. but if anyone can generate hollywood-level content at home hollywood would be done and stop paying nv for their overpriced pro cards. so just DLSS and separate objects/textures in obsolete 2014- looking games with bad models due to low VRAM it is.
