Great motor! Finally was able to find one locally. Do you know how difficult it’d be to remove/delete the electric start by chance? No need for it on the particular boat it’s going on and would like to shave as much weight as possible.

HI, I have this same motor, but I have been trying to find the handle tiller. I been looking all over the place for a couple of months now. Do u have a clue where can I find a tiller handle? Since it is from 2002 and is hard to find.

What is or was the cylinder compression reading on a new motor? At What would you compression readings would there be a noticeable loss of power? Example..... if a new motor had readings of 140psi was loss can be expected on a used motor that would be considered normal. I would not want to acquire a used motor with 115psi if it has lost substantial power and will spiral into the junkpile

I have that exact same motor on my 88 bumble bee. Runs the same way at idle but once up and running it goes really well. I guess can't expect much more from an 88 motor. I do wish it idles smoother.
