Great video! My problem is that the foam suspending the start button is shot and I find no replacement of this. The other buttons seem fine, the foam in the start button has tuned into black tar. No springiness!

Yes 10,000 miles is too long if you intend to keep the vechile longer than 5 years. It is not wear metals that are the issue it is the inside of the engine becoming covered in sticky, gooey, varnish that will harden at some point. Varnish interfers with lubricating properties of oil, traps dirt, carbon/soot, and interfers with cooling. It can gum up piston rings, valve actuators/cam phasers and timing chain tensioners. By the time you have any visable buildup that can be seen witht he naked eye on the oil pickup screen you have a 30% obstruction to flow. As it builds up so does the restriction. The varnish gets hard as it oxidizes and coats seals not allowing the oil and oil additives in the formulated oil to pentrate and wet the seals. As they dry out they crack and split sooner than if the engine had remained clean. If you have been doing 10,000 mile oil changes especially if it has been non-synthetic oil I would suspect that under your valve covers is a thick say 2 business cards thick film of orange/red-ish/brown varnish. The fact that your oil is still turning dark and nasty only 3800 miles in to the oil change after the flush tells use that it is filthy inside. The oil filter pleats are telling if you fold them apart I bet you will find flecs of black powder in the deepest part of the pleats. I would repeat the 505 CRO and this time let it idel for 40 minutes and hold it at 2000 rpms. I would follow that up with Valvoline "Restore and Protect" in the viscosity of your choosing. If you use the Valvoline "Restor and Protect" for 4 oil changes of 6 months max it should have your engine as reasonably clean as you can expect to get it. You can buy Valvoline "Restore and Protect" for $29 per 5qt jug at Walmart.

The reason it's so expensive is that they will not sell you just the carbon cleaner, they want you to buy the oil cleaner as well so you have to pay $60! for the double pack. They had a buyer and lost it when I saw the scam in action. Shame, I really wanted to try it. This is a scam company. I will add that they will sell you just the fuel system cleaner without the oil but you have to buy a case of the fuel cleaner! No chance, this is a massive scam and I put it to you that they do this because the fuel system cleaner simply isn't good enough on it's own so they hide the fact by making you get the oil cleaner as well. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!
