TT 2024 Crashed McLaren on the Mountain HD 1080p
Four of us ride the mountain section at the 2024 TT and come across a crashed McLaren that must have happened minutes before. You can see the driver out of the car on his mobile - probably talking to the AA or his therapist?

Ant's Detour at Brands Hatch
zhlédnutí 2,3KPřed 2 měsíci
Slight case of target fixation I think at Brands Hatch. Was convinced I was going to part company with the bike at one point. It gets flicked about bit in that deep kitty litter. Looks like I went in at about 70mph. This is in the intermediate group. Was getting my ass whooped most of the time, might be a little different now, a couple years on.

A great day out at one of TVAM skills days on track at Castle Combe Circuit on 21/5/24. No Voiceover or annoying music other than the sounds of the bikes. I am riding my Ducati 848 Evo.

A TVAM organised skills day at Castle Combe Circuit. This is session three of the 'experienced' group. The is unedited with warts and all, missed gears, even more missed apexes but what a great day to improve your skills in a safe environment. Well done TVAM (advanced motorcyclists).
Woodworking shop tour. Brief, off the cuff🙂

A quickish walk around of my home made bandsaw mill. 35” max log diameter, 31” cut with 16” throat height. Diesel powered and portable with loading ramps and winches. Powered carriage and saw head. Enjoy!

This is just another short clip from the same day. I am trying out a method of quarter-sawing an oak log that was destined for firewood. I thought I would practise the method, learn from it and may even get a few nice pieces. I will get around to doing a walk through.

This is a little taster for my regular watchers. It’s been a little while since I last posted. I will do a walk round of the mill at some point soonish.

Part 2 of Castle Combe track day with my daughter Eve on her Suzuki SV650. I am on my Ducati 848 Evo. This was September 20th 2022. We are in the intermediate group and this is the 6th event like this that we have taken part in. This vid captures much closer riding and gives a better sense of what it's really like on track.

I decide to take my 1979 Yamaha XT 500 off roading! Scrubs Farm in Hampshire is the location on Saturday 9th October 2021. She performed remarkably well despite me being the rider! There are other videos of my XT500 on my channel, check them out! I also rode the DRZ 400 afterwards and you can see that video on my channel.

After pulling my 2002 Suzuki DRZ 400 dual sport bike out of storage (about 12 years or so) I take it for its first ride...Scrubs Farm 'Track 'n Trail' event. This is essentially a 3 or 4 mile Enduro type track in the heart of Hampshire. My first time in as many years riding off-road. I actually think I have improved. I know that may sound odd, but it's all mental.

It was me he was trying to race, i was at 165mph as he tried to come around the outside of me as we approached the bend, i was on the front wheel mega stoppy to avoid hitting him…..total idiot all the car and no skill ! He lost the back end bounced off the wall into the post and wire fence which acted like a sling shot and launched into the wall again. I then spent 20 mins traffic control.
"All the right gear, no idea"
Proper use of a VFR
I sat in a spider nest for longer than needed because of that idiot🙄
Uk nominal voltage is 230 volts. The current/ power rating of that thin is 600 watts, 600 defided by 230 =2.6 amps. So a 3amp fuse is required. The fuse in the plug top is there to protect the flex not the end user, ie you . If you stick with the 13amp fuse and a fault accuses the flex and plug will overheat and catch fire. Also those fuse are designed to safely carry more current than the rated current for a maximum of 30 minutes. In fact a 13 amp fuse will carry upto 27amp before it blows and it must blow within thirty minutes. Generally fuse will safely carry ruffley double there rated current, for upto thirty minutes. Oh just so you know I have been a qualified electrician for thirty eight years.
Been to IOM 76 to 80 TT and the Manx GP had some good times on mad Sunday it was just a free for all one way on mountain section , no cones just manx police marshalling at the bungalow ,great memory's don't know how I survived Off the ferry one year a 4:30 am empty roads , you got have a lap haven't you ! like an idiot did Ballaugh Bridge on racing line luckily go away with it , bikes now are amazing ,still riding bikes but much slower Great video keep safe and fast
4 of us went in 2012 for the first time, camping at the Rugby Club, and it rained all week, apart from the Monday and then they cancelled the Senior, still great times even in the rain.
Nice smooth fast riding. Not too daft. Nob in Maclaren to be expected. More money than sense and no driving skills. As usual. You should see them I'm lambos around Bradford and Keighley.
Why they shut Bungalow -> Creg?
I thought the TT was a motorcycle event not a car thrash !
When talent and ego get mixed up
Someone with more sense than money.....!!!!!!.😂😂😂😂
to much car not enough driver
Saw the car in a car park at a cafe opposite the calf of man the same day, intact !
6:06 - We came here :D
It’s every year honestly
Hi ! Would it be acceptable to use it as a compilation on the Motos N°1 CZcams channel in France? Well credited for bringing you the maximum number of new subscribers 😉!
Ok

One of our local imports as well .
Hi Mate, what camera do you use, it picks up the sound of the engine without wind noise interference
Go pro hero 7. It has a foam wind sock/ case on it. Cheap to purchase and cuts the wind noise out pretty good.
I'd like to read the car drivers insurance claim report. Hopefully no one got hurt.
Someone's ambition has outweighed their talent.
Someone's ego wrote some cheques his body couldn't cash
some many people there and so few ahead of crash letting others know WARNING!!!!!!! slow crash ahead. decades of riding seen a few and had a few that should have killed me but God and guarding angel made it other wise. safe Journeys to all
Twat spoiled the track for everyone
😂
Dont worry Theirs plenty of toys still in the box
6:15 Like..?
That's what happens when you turn the traction control off. Big rubber rears grip/ don't grip/grip again. Oops
how many pedestrians and car drivers are killed and injured by speeding idiots on motorcycle every year I wonder.
Boring
I was at the end of pit lane when this came past on the recovery truck, there was quite a cheer.
ya got some nice skills riding that bike 💯
Thanks, I have a lot to learn still. The mountain section is not that well known to me and at those higher speeds there are different things to learn. Everything comes up much quicker! Believe it or not, LOL.
Money out weighs talent every time 🤦♂️😂😂
Typical 'all the gear, no idea', mclaren driver must have more money than sense, perhaps they should have invested in some advanced driving courses or a track day course?🤔 😊
Car drivers killing it for the bikes.
Takes these things to bring a touch of reality to the situation.
Worse.... It might have been the Wife 📞📲
That was cool. I'd love to come over one year to watch, but it's a long way from Australia so I wouldn't be brining my bike. Can you hire bikes to take?
I'm not sure you can but just being here is awesome. The public transport is excellent for getting to the different places to watch, the pubs are great, everyone is friendly, its worth coming even without a bike.
I was at the TT. That prat caused delays to that days racing through his stupidity.
I know dude, about 1 and a half hours. They needed to lift the car as the wheels were buckled under and then scrub the road. I was waiting for the race too.
I was just ahead of the mclaren when it crashed. you pass me as you turn in at the bungalow. did i pass you going down sulby valley? then you followed me?
Ah yeah! Were you on IOM plates? You knew that road and got a wiggle on! I thought you rode quick but safe so decided to follow you through, overtaking a couple other bikes and through some wet sections. Nice riding. I beeped you at the end to say thanks as you went straight and I waited for my buddies and we turned right to Ginger Hall.
@@tinkertime7165 yeah, white bmw on local plates. I thought you looked familiar! It's easy when you know where you're going hey, but be careful on that road. You never know what you'll meet coming the other way Nice video btw. A few more runs across the mountain and you'll be flying 👍
@@boojones4348Thanks. I’m still getting used to it. I did a few runs over two year ago and we did it 4/5 times this year. Shame I didn’t get to follow you over the mountain!
What are you riding? 1099? Sounds like a dry clutch and full Termi system? Beautiful sound on the those down shifts?
Thanks man, 848 Evo with standard clutch but termi pipes!
Wow never would've guessed an Evo. Haven't spent anytime around an Evo so I had no idea they sound that good stock with just some slip ons. Might need to shop for one of those someday. Sweet bike man
@@Blazemon9999 thanks. I love it. Handles awesome, light and flickable with plenty of power for the road (140hp). Such strong mid range, embarrasses most litre bikes.
Aye, you can ride a touch bro. 😊 nice one. I was at the other side of the island when it happened. But I guy wrecked his bike in front of me the next day over the mountain. Just at the start. He was up hobbling and other bikes were involved. It was pretty dodgy the speed differentials. Still, brilliant.
Thanks bud. I enjoyed that section! Yeah you are right tho, the speed differences are big and you have to slow up especially on corners where you need to be sure the rider in front is not going to take your line.
@tinkertime7165 what's the best year of crossplane R1? I reaĺly fancy one. 👌😎
@@dukesgixer5365 I’m sorry I have no idea🤪
Bang goes the no-claims bonus!
When ambition outweighs talent
At least he kept it on the road. Could of been a lot worse by the looks of it.
Needs jail time for spilling the fluids on the surface.
Silly McLaren owner trying to do what the big boys do 😅
Probably trying to race the bikes 😂 very silly
To be fair, if the McLaren driver had the talent, most bikes would struggle to keep up... 😬
@@mikey_bb I remember having that conversation between bikes and supercars on the IOM with my best mate. We were both bikers and he said, "Nah, you're wrong (about a bike being faster), a supercar will always win and, No, bikes aren't faster at cornering."
HAHA, and the Apex is supposed to be better at cornering, and for £288,813, I don't think so, stick to two wheels pal.
Trouble with these cars is they flatter an inexperienced driver into believing they can drive fast. It takes years of experience at speed with no driver aids to become a safe racing driver. When things suddenly malfunction or go wrong it's muscle memory that saves you.
Anyone can drive new supercar easy to drive😎not anyone can ride a Panigale V4 fast in the curves✊🔥
