in gallipoli campaign australian soldiers wrote in their diaries that meeting ottoman soldiers when ceasefire was agreed for a brief time to depose the dead from the battlefield made the war much harder for them. because they have been told that they were going to fight barbarian monsters. Instead, they met everyday people not different from them, only there to defend their homeland. Made the war "pointless" for them

Das war der erste Weltkrieg.
All of them were far far away from their homes,loved ones.Went to fight the war never knowing are they gonna return safe home.On that night all they had was eachother...And this scene realy happened in real life.

Scots as we used to know them! Now too many Scots are sheep herded by the snp fools! My grandfather a Glasgow University educated man signed up 1915 and fought through various battles as a young Lt. then as a Captain though the battle of The Somme (from July 1916). He came back a shell of a man. But he never doubted his duty. Too many Scots today are nothing short of whimps to whom the thought of defending Scotland is not an option!
