The MLB website ranked the White Sox "pipeline" at #20 coming into this season. And this after the Sox traded away a quarter of their roster at the deadline last year. They are so fundamentally screwed that keeping or trading Robert feels like it doesn't even matter. Their major league roster is a joke, their farm system is average at best, and they won't spend money on free agents. Look, if they can get somebody's #1 prospect plus a serviceable major league player in exchange for Robert, fine. Do it. But don't give me a 3rd or 4th best prospect because at that point it would be nothing but a salary dump and not part of a "rebuild".

Fyi: Cousins was 9-8 in last 17 games under O'Connell...hardly the transformation that it is presented as. After a hot start in 22' against a weak NFC with some luck, Cousins was same old Cousins(including a disasterous checkdown in playoff game). 😅

Kidding right? Entire team should be on the "block" - including Front Office, Vendors, Parking Attendants, even the stadium itself. This is an historically bad team that is an embarrassment to Chicago and professional sports. And it was constructed this way. They never had any hope of contending. Clearly, main fault lies with ownership and MLB needs to consider asking Rheinsdorf to sell team. Realize that is unusual, but not unprecedented. Just not treating franchise like a major league operation. Recent front office hires are a clear example - no job search at all. One of the highest profile jobs in professional sports, and you interview nobody and give the job to someone with no similar experience. Think the Yankees would do that? Or the Dodgers? Or the Cubs? Why should the White Sox be any different? Tragic. A very sad franchise which has enjoyed fleeting moments of glory, only to have them extinguished by completely misguided leadership. White Sox fans have to demand better.
