Wow i have never heard this either! I'm shocked, just when I think Bruce can not get any better I hear this! Instantly one of my many many Bruce favs, I'm gobsmacked. Bruce put out tracks 2, and put this on it!! Ps Thank you so much for putting this on here.

Je ne connaissais pas , je découvre aujourd'hui cette version et c'est incroyable! Les paroles sont sublimes . Quand on pense qu'il a écrit cette merveille alors qu'il était très jeune , cela donne la mesure de son talent .

Can't think of another song he wrote that showcases his brilliance like this one. Just reading the lyrics can move you with his genius. Thank you so much for this post. As an aside, I much prefer this more up tempo version to the original. Hopefully, this will be on a future album.
There is honestly no explanation for his genius. This is one of the most beautiful songs, lyrically and otherwise that this 58 year old fat, bald loser has ever heard. It truly brings me to tears. Thank you so much for posting it.

Oh good lord, this is amazing. Is this version from the Devils & Dust tour? I've never really paid close attention to the lyrics of this song. God his early stuff was fantastic.
8 years later, I stumbled on this again, not remembering the comment I left last time. This song just brought me to tears again today. It's just so. damn. good.
