The lack of trees and vegetation makes it feel artificial... which is strange to say about an existing space, usually you call food or other products artificial, but never to an actual physical location... and every house looks the same too. Just looking at a picture of american suburbs just drains me of energy while making me anxious at the same time

Sorry buddy, but I love the suburb. Best decision I ever made moving out of crime ridden city of weirdos. Something about people living on top of each other that makes everyone crazy and ignore the crime around them. Never going back to San Francisco. Not even to visit.

So glad you did a video on this subject! I lived in NYC for most of my adult life then returned to suburbia and realized it’s so culturally sterile and lacking in engagement that life had become about surviving than living.

but can i be real with you... those "experiments" were my childhood and those homes. copy pasted or not will always stay in my memory as the best time in my childhood. they arent all the same though. they all had their own thing to them. it wasnt like these homes were really built to all be the same. i think i was in the second era.

The picture in the thumbnail is slightly different than what you talked about. The thumbnail is a picture of beautiful Breezewood Pennsylvania. It was billed as a small area to get off of the PA Turnpike and other highways to get some food and gas, but as the years went by, it turned into more than that. there’s also abandoned sections of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in this town. whenever I am traveling all the way through Pennsylvania we always stop there to get gas so I’ve been there a couple of times. It’s a magical site.
