2.6litre 2 cylinder diesel designed in the 1930s for marine use. The design was used in a large number of the Grand Union Canal Carrying Co’s motor boats. This engine was built in 1988 for Never Enough in Dagenham at the Russell Newbery factory. The company is still in business today main making their profits on parts. But they do still produce 1 or 2 engines per year to order. I believe they’re around £27k new to order. The Russell Newbery Register has tonnes of details on these engines and others similar. Definitely worth a look 👍

Over fuelling to kill it means fuel washes oil off cylinder meaning first starting spin is damaging that’s what I was always told
