Bitter sweet memories for me I was a vocalist in the band second vision in the French ballroom 85/86

Wow that was my first summer season singing with second vision strange feeling seeing all of our kit on the stage, bitter sweet. Great footage tho thank you ❤

Great footage of the funfair, i went on holiday here with my family in 1987, i have some photos i took of the Quasar, Polyp and Trabant rides and have a Butlins postcard featuring these rides too. Really enjoyed this 👍

I've heard of Ray Reardon but never knew he was so important to snooker that's incredible how he's responsible for pro's like Williams taking up snooker. Rest in peace.

I was born in 87. Would spend many holidays here in the 90s. Was an amazing time of my childhood. These types of holiday parks are nowhere near as good as they were before. Such a shame.

I auditioned for the talent show in the Gaiety theatre in 1995. Sad it was demolished, a great original Butlins building.

It is that simple, because all these sports were made that way Its just people like hearn, that destroy the mystery of sport Look at football today players being sold for 100million, and earning 100,000s every week, and they do nout on the field of play. Tell us who the heck needs 100,000s every week? Who needs wages like this? No one on earth needs money like footballers get today, no one. Most of these players are not performing to get anywhere near this. Thats what money has done to football Arsenal left highbury because of people like this, and its cost arsenal there mystery of highbury, that can never be replaced West ham had to leave upton park, and today the east of london is losing its heritage of the cockneys of london, and the heart of london. Ask west ham fans today if they regret going to a souless stadium in stratford? Most of them will say they cannot stand the new stadium Just glad liverpool stayed at anfield, and no one on earth can deny the mystery of anfield on champions league nights, anfield is world famous, and liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they gave up the chance to move and say good bye to anfield. Just glad they did, what ever you think about liverpool, all football fans love to see anfield on champions league nights. Arsenal in the real world, yep got more seats, but they threw away who they were at highbury, and what that stadium meant to them. No one knows what energy is, and how it works on buildings, and collects. These money mad people destroy the soul of sport, just because he does not believe in the mystery of sports, does not mean most people are like him. Most people love the mystery associated with sports, and certain arenas. So many of the snooker players today, started playing because of the crucicble I stopped watching arsenal in 2002, because they announced they would leave highbury. Never will i watch them again, and makes me laugh all these years they have failed, as they threw away highbury as there home. He should ask west ham fans about there souless new stadium, that took away what the west ham fans enjoyed at upton park. Money mad people like hearn. Just how much money do sports people need to play sports? Just how much? Hear hearn, living in real world. How much effing money do sports people need? These people can get paid fortunes if they are good players for appearence money. I do not doubt ronny osullivan is paid fortuines so he will not retire. How much money do these people need? Like ken said, these countries who want the world championships, should make there own competing competitions, but they do not want too, as they know it cannot compete with the history of the crucible.

Its like saying the cheltenham festival, the best meeting for horce racing over jumps, could go round the world. Could you imagine the grand national being held anywhere but aintree? No, of course you cannot. No, these events are famous for where they are, and the history created there by great sports moments Just glad people who own liverpool did not listen to people like hearn, or anfield would not exist anymore Money is important in sports, that some places transcend money, and have a history that cannot be created elsewhere

Yet here we all are discussing this so obviously this form protest works.
