Tate is riding great, the progress from a year ago is amazing, big meetings bring big pressure, he just had a bad day with so so starts and in the back with the crazies, that's when bad things happen out of the blue, he will get there, as Ellie said, sometimes you have to look in the mirror. this will be a good lesson, painful, but good but it's part of the journey. I feel bad for Tate. You can tell he wants to be good and he clearly has amazing skills. His technique is incredible but it’s so obvious watching him he just doesn’t have that special “it” factor when the gate drops. A practice track hero though no doubt. He doesn’t have that dog in him that’s necessary to compete at the highest level. I wish him well and genuinely hope he’s able to come to terms with it as he gets older and is able to find something else that will fill the inevitable void racing will leave in him.

Most of us riders know what it's like to want it so bad, and come up short. It's just not Tate's time yet. But the writing is on the wall. That day will come.

Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs maybe you expect a little much and its putting him of threw the pressure trying not to let you down thats what happened to me in moto and soccer I was playing for Manchester City at 15 but my dad over powering me put me of so I quit just to piss him of and in moto the same they need to enjoy it 1st get confidence .and don't forget Chad you got pretty big boots to fill mate
