Absolutely agreed! Playing on this mode, too. Some dips in the frame rate here and there, but nothing they cannot fix in further stability updates. So far, so good 😊

I am not sure on which Xbox you are playing, but the overall option to play on 60FPS is only for the Series X, so far. So if you are playing on Xbox Series S it won’t show. Which one do you have? Then I can check my settings and let you know what I have in my system settings. Or maybe try reinstalling the game. That could help if you playing on a Series X. Or check updates again. Let me know how it turns out 😊

I am almost sure they will work on a solution for the Series S, as well. At least a 40fps mode for 120hz tvs or, performance and target 60fps. The Series S should handle that. Maybe it just needs some more time. I have high hopes 😊

Absolutely! I am not done with my first play through. I stopped playing for a while and always hoped for an update. Surprise, here it is and I can enjoy it. What about New Game + for you? I heard it's pretty well implemented.

I respect your opinion regarding the game. Everyone has its own taste. New Atlantis needs some further updates to run more consistent but I am sure they are working on it 😊 All other areas I explored work actually pretty smooth so far. There is also the 40fps mode for 120hz TV which is very good, as well. The modes are all "target" the FPS count. It will keep some dips here and there.

The only way to stop it right now is to change the settings to 60hz from your Xbox and keep vrr on, so you loose the uncapped option but no more flickering.

@scrapper276 I just went through my settings, because I don't have the flicker issue. I am not sure if it has something to do with it, but did you try recalibrading your HDR setting in the system? In addition for the ingame setting, I left brightness on default, FOV on default (with FOV performance issues can occur). I turned Motion Blur and Film Grain "OFF". My Xbox is set to 4K and 120hz. Although I turned allow Dolby Vision for gaming "OFF" in the system settings. I do have VRR "enabled" on my LG CX - If possible, make sure you are in game mode if you haven't already. I would start with the ingame settings and try setting everything to default again. One question though, does it happen in specific areas? I would like to travel then there too and see if it happens on my system, as well. And thank you for your comment!!!

@andreasbone602 - I have my Xbox set on 120hz and 4K and it does't happen here. It's flicker free. I can imagine the HDR calibration in the Xbox system itself. If you enable the 120hz in the system, does the flickering happen all the time, or just in specific areas?

@@AboutGamesSTV in my case it happens both in menus and gameplay and I'm hooked to an LG Oled, blacks become grey and strobe like crazy. Not too bothered by the fact I have to eliminate 120hz since the 60 fps performance mode is more consistent anyways.

@andreasbone602 True, there is actually no need to enable 120hz if you set the game on 60 locked anyway. It let's me still wonder though, why this happens to both of you and not for me... I just did some research on reddit and one person mentioned, it was the Film Grain slider. He set this to "0" and the problem was solved. But it seems that some have solved it like you did with VRR off and 60hz off, as well. It's still a strange phenomena...

It seems they really worked hard to improve the game. This is a good sign and gains trust in the developer. Starfield is a good game despite all hate it received. This patch is a warm welcome ☺️

The 60fps mode is really good! And I can absolutely recommend it. I tested 30 on visuals again and it was a little choppy like I remembered from before. But I noticed some dips in the 60fps mode on visuals, too. But so far my favorite mode! Although, because of my capture card, I couldn’t switch the xbox back to 4K mode in the settings. It constantly jumped back to 1440p. But I could set on 120hz which was the most interesting here, because 4k and 120 won’t be possible anyway… All in all, visuals and 60fps was great so far 👍🏻

I tried that too after recording. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible for the video because of the capture card plugged into the Xbox. For some reason it disabled the feature for 40fps mode. I played for a while in 40, but right now back to 60 on visuals. But both modes are great, and I am a fan of 40fps modes in general. Overall a welcome addition Starfield ☺️

The subscription service is monthly based. Similar to other services such as Netflix and co. So you basically sign up but you could always cancel. 5 and 6 have a big community but definitely were different in some sort of way then all the other titles before. Although 1 was also unique compared to 3-6 in general. I do have to say, right now I am playing the 4th one again and I still like this title a lot, too ☺️ All great ideas my opinion even that the latest 2 ones have went a different direction towards a different core audience maybe…

I could picture a new/different course of the series, as well. I honestly grew out of the last two a little. But always fun to start the old titles again ☺️ I would be in for your recommendation with them trying something new. Maybe they just need a longer inspirational break. No need for a rush before it really happens with retiring the series.

Absolutely agreed! I am playing FC4 right now, too! I recommend playing it on XBOX Series. It comes with FPS boost which makes a huge difference performance wise and still looks gorgeous. I would like to see this for FC3, as well… Maybe they’ll add this feature some day ☺️

Yes, sometimes it’s unpredictable what’s coming to game pass, or if a games joins the service at all… But I think the $5.99 are still well spent! It’s a great game and maybe it disappears from game pass again at some point. That way you can still play it again if you want to. Thank you for your comment!!! 😊

So, I did some research regarding the problem with reviews on physical copies. I found out that Microsoft is doing that on purpose, it seems. @@AboutGamesSTV game plus+7 is brutal if you haven't done it maliketh AVE bosses will one shot you in 0.5 seconds or less it's flipping nuts. First play through of elden ring was always going to be hard a then gets easier, but they don't warn you about NG+7 you have to rebuild your profile character multiple times. And the HP level e.g elden beast is in the millions , but its literally the hardest level in the have and then that's the average after it.

@simbro1981 Okay, that is great to know!! I only started NG+1 and was getting a little bored, so thats why I started a complete new character... But once Shadow of the Erdtree will have it's release, I might continue this character till further NG+. I am curious how they going to do that anyway where you start in the DLC and how it's connected. Maybe I can start with that save slot 😊

​​@@AboutGamesSTV personal taste is of course subjective, but I really wouldn't recommend lords of the fallen. There are much better games in the "souls like" genre. I always felt like they are tring to make a fromsoft game without understanding what makes these games great in the first place. I would really recommend checking dark souls 3 though

@YahHShua - Very much appreciate your comment and suggestion!! Lies of P is available on game pass and I saved it, too. I gave Lords of the Fallen a try though first because, right now I am kind of in the "medieval" mood 😊 Though I can understand your concern with all the negative reviews. I think it received all those reviews because of the performance issues in the beginning. I recently bought it for Xbox Series X and do have to say that the game runs great, so far (playing in performance mode). But I am only a few hours in. But I think they patched it a lot since release. Maybe it did get all the negative reviews because it came out a little to early. Unfortunately not an exception in the industry... Maybe, when I am done with it, I can write a positive review 😊

For now I must say that I enjoy Lords of the Fallen but I am only 3 hours in. Although the switch between two worlds in this particular game, felt a little overwhelming in the beginning. Now I get to understand LOTF it a little better. Since I am new to the the souls genre I'll try to give several games a shot 😊 It's kind of funny that I never really played those titles, even though my father in law always recommends them. Now I am beginning to understand why.

And honestly I forgot about the game at all after a first walkthrough until I saw it on sale at the microsoft store for 4,99€ some time back for my Xbox. So I got it and don't regret anything! The first 2 games are great, however the devs greatly affected the popularity of the trilogy by the Xbox exclusivity of the 2nd part, and then they fumbled the 3rd part, the weakest game of the trilogy - so the whole trilogy kind of never got anywhere and falls apart. Sadly, with all good key ingredients, a missed opportunity as a trilogy.

I absolutely agree! Well, I do have to say that I played the newer RPG titles (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla) and kinda loved them, but I didn't quite associated them to the AC's before. Although I totally like how they wrote Basim's journey, too. And nice to hear that you've payed attention to the ingames music!!! Well, during my walkthrough I was constantly working on the collectables and except for 2 or 3 I got them all before the last mission. Also I did all available assassin contracts before and they will give you sometimes some skill points. But to reach "Master Assassin" status was only possible with starting the final chapter. So, it will help you to do as much as possible before to get more skill points but you need to start the final mission to reach this status. I just wished you could have achieved this a little earlier in the game like an hour or two earlier in the storyline. But it doesn't mean it's a bad thing! @@AboutGamesSTV it's ok, I'll work it out eventually I'll wait on the game for a bit and see what others say on it, I could come back to the franchise but I completely gave up on it since Valhalla, I had a colossal amount of issues needing to sign in with it that I just threw in the towel and was done with the series and anything Ubisoft related, but time will tell, time will tell, good to see it go back to its roots again

@damienkrawczuk1435 it took me a while but I wanted to test it, too. So I deinstalled AC Mirage and the Ubisoft app from my Xbox Series X. Then only downloaded and installed the game. After that I went offline and stared it. It didn't ask me to connect to uplay again, but maybe because it is still in the Cache of the xbox. I know it probably doesn't matter anymore by now but I wanted to know as well. But also since I didn't reinstall it on a completely different console with all new settings I can't guarantee 100% that it will work without. I just had some time to test it with my setting.
