On Nov. 11, 2016, the New Providence American Legion, Post 433, held a dedication of the Post Walkway, Ramp and Rest Facilities in Rememberance of Lance Corporal Christopher B. Cosgrove III, USMC, who was killed on Oct. 1, 2006, at the age of 23, while serving with 1BN 25th Marines in Iraq.
